Sesat sekejap di Taiwan.
We received an email notification from the Yushan National Park Authority regarding our 2d1n Yushan hike that we applied 2 months prior. We managed to get into the queue & thus, the foreign advance permit! So there we were on the summit of Taiwan's tallest mountain!
The overall hike to Paiyun Lodge & then to Mt. Jade Main Peak were straight forward with a gradually ascending trail of about 22km return trip.
The hike to Yushan Main Peak was definitely easier than Mt. Kinabalu hike. But should you intend to summit the North Peak as well, then it will be a challenging.
You can also start your hike at Paiyun Mountaineering Centre trailhead & summit Yushan West Peak as you hike to Paiyun Lodge. The next morning, you can opt for both the North Peak & Main Peak before descending back to the trailhead -tapi memang susah & penat lah.
On the other hand, you can appy for 2 or 3 nights stay & summit all the peaks -Main, North, West & South Peaks!
But to get the slots, you must make advance booking months before & be in front of the que in their slot lottery system.
