The majestic Bornean Pygmy Elephant having a cool off on a hot day at the mighty Kinabatangan River.

Had 2 beautiful bull elephants on our last day at Sukau Rainforest Lodge, lucky!

Bornean Pygmy Elephants are not only the rarest Elephants in the world, but also the smallest. This ’ gentle giant ‘ is elusive compared to other species of Elephants due to their reputation to walk silently and swiftly through the dense Bornean jungles.

Although being the smallest in the world, dont be fooled! They are huge! 😅

The skittish and restless Fluffy-Backed Tit-Babbler, never had a real chance to photograph this bird and its real hard work to even get a clear and sharp photo of this fast moving subject.

This shot was taken in a very messy and shaded undergrowth, R7 eye-tracking did really well!

It’s a rainy evening…

The beautiful Stork-Billed Kingfisher searching for a meal in the evening just after a wet and rainy afternoon, this vibrant species is the largest kingfisher we have in Sabah. Found usually along lakes, streams, and rivers.

This particular kingfisher was found along the mighty Kinabatangan River during my last trip at Sukau Rainforest Lodge. They are commonly seen during the river cruises at Kinabatangan!🤩
