The super rare, limited 100 units worldwide Toyota Altezza TOMS 280T 😱

Came with a TOMS tuned turbocharged 3S-GE engine making 280HP, along with TOMS exclusive performance parts, suspension, and bodykits. This is one of if not the greatest and most exclusive version of the Toyota Altezza available.

*UPDATE: I've been told that apparently this unit isn't a real TOMS 280T, but rather an RS200 with lots of real TOMS 280T parts on it. I'm terribly sorry for the misinformation. Nonetheless this is still a very very nicely done up Altezza, and probably one of the Altezza in Malaysia with most expensive parts on it.*

It was a last minute decision to come here, rushed over here with zero regrets as it was quite the treat to see this many relatively rare cars all in one place.

Part 4: Out with A Bang. And Crash. And Roll.

As fun and exhilarating rallying is, taking risks is a part of the sport, and unfortunately one miscalculated risk and you're out for the rest of the day.

And this is the reason why I didn't have as much rolling footage of more rally cars, a number of them are totalled...

I managed to have a tour around the course and I am completely mindblown by how rough the stages are as I'm being thrown around in the 4x4. Deep holes throughout the stage, inclines so steep that reportedly some rally cars just isn't able to traverse, and narrow roads with trees and valleys next to the road. Completely different from the smooth gravel roads I've seen from rally stages overseas. Malaysian rally is really something else.

I got to give it to the team, the driver, and co-driver for giving it their all in a rally. Their passion and bravery is commendable. I'm sure they will come back stronger 💪

Got media access and went deeper into the stage to take photos. It was pretty fun getting to see the drivers pushing their cars in rather close proximity.

Though I didn't get photos of the other cars as I got media access pretty late(I was just going as spectator, but the organisers are willing to give me media access to take photos), and most of the cars are done for the day.

Kudos to the JRSpeed Sucimuci Motorsport Evo and Race & Rally Garage Satria for managing to complete this gruelling really stage multiple times

The teams are done setting up their car and headed to the starting line where they'll all attempt to traverse 11km of treacherous gravel roads full of deep holes, puddles, steep inclines and where any wrong move would send their cars into a tree or a valley...

Part 1: In the pits

Rally events are few and far between when compared to other Motorsport events in Malaysia, and as a rally fan I sure don't wanna miss this rare occasion.

These photos focuses on the happenings in the pits, seeing how each team prepares their car to ensure it survives the treacherous gravel roads ahead(Malaysian rally courses are no joke 🤯).

And yes, it is really that bright, sunny and hot on that day as you can probably tell from the photos 🥵
