This is the one thing I love doing when in Japan 🇯🇵
Taking side trips to places not known to the crowds. Here at the Omoshiroyama Cosmos Berg in mid autumn, is a cool and refreshing expedition. While hiking through its narrow roads, I got to see tattered houses and not-in-operation cable cars used to send skiers uphill. Everything seems so worn out. Hopefully they come back to life again during ski seasons.

Whenever I travel to Japan, I stick to places accessible by train and love exploring quiet rural towns far from the usual tourist crowds.
