Gunung Lambak is a 510-meter-tall twin-peaked mountain located in the Kluang District of Johor, Malaysia, serving as a prominent landmark and popular natural attraction for the local area. Historically, the mountain remained a quiet, forested inselberg until the mid-20th century, when infrastructure development began with the completion of a Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) broadcasting transmitter mast at its summit in 1969 to improve local television signals. Although that transmitter was decommissioned in 1983 after being superseded by Mount Ledang, the tower remains on the peak today alongside telecom infrastructure. Over recent decades, local authorities developed the base into the Gunung Lambak Recreational Forest, adding pathways, a resort area, and facilities to transform the natural peak into one of Kluang's most accessible day-hiking destinations.

Laman Rel Mahkota in Kluang is Malaysia’s first dedicated linear railway park, developed to transform the town’s historic ground-level train corridor into a vibrant public green space following the elevation of the rail lines under the Gemas-Johor Bahru Electrified Double Track Project. Built along a 2.9-kilometer stretch where the original ground tracks once ran, the park preserves Kluang’s rich legacy as a historic "Railway Town" by integrating original track remnants, vintage equipment, old station signage, and concrete sleepers into modern walkways, recreational areas, and heritage exhibition zones.

The KTM Komuter Southern Sector, officially branded as Shuttle Selatan, was introduced by Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTMB) on June 16, 2026, as the third KTM Komuter network in Peninsular Malaysia to improve regional suburban rail connectivity in Johor. Originally launched as a shuttle service connecting JB Sentral to Kulai along the main corridor, the service underwent a rapid expansion on August 8, 2026, extending northwards to cover Layang-Layang, Renggam, Kluang, and Paloh. The Paloh–JB Sentral Line utilizes the newly upgraded Gemas–Johor Bahru Electrified Double Tracking alignment, offering residents across central and southern Johor a direct, low-cost daily rail commute into the regional capital.
