Ahmad Yusni has 25 years (1995-2021) of experience in photojournalism. Starting with the local newspaper The Sun, he later joined international news agencies, the Agence France-Presse (AFP) and European Pressphoto Agency (EP
A). His strong ability to work on reportage, documentary and sports has seen him to covering the 2010 Bangkok’s anti government protest, deadly Indonesian Tsunami, US President Obama visit to Malaysia and recently pandemic Covid-19 in Malaysia and many more. In sports, he has covered the Beijing Olympic, South African soccer World Cup, Tennis Australian Grand Slam. In his early career, he started with aimed to be a stock photographer, shooting a subject such as people, landscape, travel and more in slide film format. His image was marketed under Picture Library and Images of the East. He also explored the black and white film and digital photography. Ahmad Yusni has attended international workshops to understand on the making of personal stories, documentaries and exhibition photography:

He has explored and experienced a personal heart-wrenching story about his brother who struggled with cancer and only survived 39 days after being diagnosed. This story was published in published in UK Daily Mail, Germany's Spiegel and more. His passion for explore the stories has also taken him 2000 km away to a remote island of Sumbawa in Indonesia to work on 'Barefoot Riders'. Ahmad Yusni has taken part in various photography exhibitions. His “Outshine” exhibition of cancer survivors (including images of his late brother who has lost his battle to cancer) was held at the National Art Galler in, Kuala Lumpur.
