2023 TOP 50 BEST OF THE BEST ENGAGEMENT PHOTO!
This still feels very surreal. I am incredibly humbled and stoked that amongst the many talented photographers in the world who submit their work to Junebug every year, my work would even be remotely close to that standard. How I got here I will probably never know. Thank you to the judges this year - , and , you guys are the sources of inspiration for many around the world!
I was lost in terms of my photography direction for many years, but I guess this photo perfectly encapsulates what I want to do moving forward - explore the world and chase unreal light.
The incredible once said to me, awards and recognitions is meaningless if you don’t continue to work hard. So I guess the hard work and hustle starts now.
Thank you to all of my couples who have said yes to crazy ideas like hiking 3 hours in the dark or camping on top of a mountain in the cold just to catch sunrise, y’all are the real stars!
To the people in this photo - my very good friends and who helped and I with our pre-wedding shoot in Bali last year. This industry gets very lonely at times but thank you for not only being our photographer and model (for this shoot) but friends that we can rely on when s**t hits the fan.
And finally my wife for always being there, the one who does all the research for my overseas travel and admin (aka dirty work) for this business (albeit sometimes late 🤣). 😘
