Kim Boon

Kim Boon I make a living finding the extraordinary in the ordinary, telling stories through my pictures and helping others tell their stories too.

In short, I do Corporate Storytelling through pictures, help and train others to tell better stories pictorially! I make a living finding the extraordinary from the ordinary. I do corporate storytelling for companies who need to have their stories told, such as who they are, what they do, what they believe in. This involves shooting everything from portraitures to products and lifestyle images. My

services include from consulting with clients, conceptualisation, designing to publishing Pictorial Storybooks and Coffee Table Books and producing short films and visual and motion stories for my clients. Currently actively helping my clients walk their Digital Storytelling Journey through Online Training Workshops and Coaching Services to help them create and tell their compelling stories via various Social Media platforms. I am also currently an Official Fujifilm X-Photographer, a global title for Fujifilm Brand Influencer and Key opinion Leader (also known as Fujifilm Brand Ambassador in some countries)

Not too long ago, I decided to test out few lenses shooting Outdoor Street Portraiture with a friend, Dance Instructor who obliged to be my talent and model for the shoot, with the assistance of another dear friend Teddy who helps with shooting this BTS reels too.

People of Kampar

We came to Kampar with cameras, curious eyes, and the hope of finding photographs.

But somewhere between the old streets, morning light, quiet conversations, and fleeting encounters with strangersโ€ฆ we found something more human.

Some moments lasted only seconds.
A glance. A smile. A quiet presence.
Yet somehow, they stay with us much longer than the photographs themselves.

This is perhaps what In Search of Malaysia has always been about โ€” not merely documenting places, but discovering the people, stories, and small moments that quietly remind us who we are.

Thank you, Kampar, for your warmth, your faces, and your stories.

Every face carries a different story.
Different backgrounds, different journeys, different reasons for showing up.

Some come to learn photography.
Some come to slow down from life.
Some come searching for inspiration, connection, healing, or simply a reason to see again.

Through this series, I want to introduce the people behind the cameras โ€” the participants who make the ISOM Photowalks meaningful. Their stories, reflections, and reasons for joining remind me that photography is never just about photographs.

It is about presence.
About people.
About discovering beauty, meaning, and gratitude in the ordinary moments we often overlook.

Welcome to the humans behind the journey.

Hello friends from Seremban and fellow photographers from KL & Klang Valley ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ“ท

Weโ€™ll be bringing our ISOM (In Search of Malaysia) journey to Seremban next month with a special Photowalk & Pictorial Storytelling Workshop.

This is more than just another street photography outing โ€” it is an opportunity to slow down, explore the streets and culture of Seremban, observe everyday moments, and learn how to create more meaningful visual stories through photography.

For friends from KL, perhaps it is time to take a short drive out of the city and experience a different pace, atmosphere and inspiration.

Sometimes, stepping into a different town can refresh the way we see and photograph.

Photographers of all levels are welcome โ€” whether you shoot digital, film, mobile or simply love storytelling through images.

We look forward to exploring Seremban together with the local photography community. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡พ

Testing the new Fujifilm X-M5 back in my hometown, Batu Pahat โ€” slowing down, learning to see beauty from the mundane and ordinary, and rediscovering the stories hidden in everyday life.

Sometimes the best stories are the ones closest to home. ๐Ÿ“ทโœจ

We came to Kampar with cameras, curious eyes, and the hope of finding photographs.

Thank you, Kampar, for your warmth, your faces, and your stories.

And thank you to everyone who walked alongside us that morning. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡พ

If these moments resonate with you, follow along as we continue this journey across Malaysia โ€” one story, one encounter, one photograph at a time.
