The simple joys of football enjoyed every day around the world. Two kids kicking a ball around the residential streets sat up in the hills of Sarajevo. Just the two friends. No goals. No objective. Just smiles.

Something that has become more and more difficult in the U.K has more and more “No Ball Games” signs are seen, and less kids on the street (generally playing).

I’m in my early 40s, and I rarely left the house on my bike or on foot without a ball in hand, just in case. Is grassroots suffering as a result, and are kids now stuck at home too much?

A few vintage looking archive photos rediscovered from a compact camera, after my first DSLR decided to pack in whilst in Rome.

Given the recent Conclave, a good opportunity to share.

Not bad for a compact camera I have to say. Of course, not great for depth of field, but a much more rustic feel than a modern camera phone.
