1. Get a head start on Melody's school work
2. Gallery delivery for Bryan and Nicole's wedding
3. Prep for Seta's wedding this Saturday
4. Prepare for my Dallas trip!

After a month of social media break, I am back and in full force!

A lot has to happen, and just a few updates.

I only have a few more dates available for 2022. Woohoo! 🥳

I am now accepting the 2023/2024 date! 💒

And lastly, I am happy to announce that I have created a connection with a fantastic videographer, and together, we are offering a collection that includes both photos and video!

Things got a little adventurous with Brianna & Cristian!

Getting ready room checklist ✅⁠

Sweet bride, you should have the best bridal suite ever 😍 here’s how you can have a blast and make sure everything is ready!⁠
⁠
- Music playing (yes please!)⁠
- Food (deserts are welcome)⁠
- Champagne (never too early)⁠
- Matching robes or PJ sets (cute pic for Instagram!)⁠
- Windows everywhere! AKA natural light for your wedding photographer (me 😉)⁠
- Polaroid camera (because they’re fun trust me)⁠

When it comes to your bridal details, here is what you can give your photographer to make sure you have stunning detail photos 📸⁠

- Paper suite (full invitation, save the date, envelopes, program, menu, etc.)⁠
- Jewelry, Shoes, Perfume⁠
- Swatches of lace or fabric⁠
- Heirloom pieces⁠
- Garter⁠
- All of the things, yes even his ⁠
- Your beautiful bouquet ⁠
- Your old, new, borrowed and blue ⁠

It also helps to have your gown hanging from a non-plastic hanger with any pins or stuffing removed! If you would like bridesmaids dresses photographed as well, be sure to have them all hanging and pressed.⁠

It’s Friday & today I welcome my 37th year! 🎉🥂

First off, I can’t believe I am officially a year older.

Time sometimes feels like it moves so fast! But I am so grateful to be able to say I am a year older. So much growth has happened this past year and I’m excited to see what God has in store for us this year ♥️

What a year 2021 has been! We have had our plates full with parenthood, work, and business.

My Secret to Authentic Emotion at Engagement Sessions 🤫📸⁣⁠

Having your photos taken is AWKWARD. I know. Every time I’m in front of the camera, I’m reminded of this! ⁣⁠

Part of how I make sure my couples have an incredible experience with me is making them comfortable at their engagement session! I love to get them walking, twirling, dancing, and laughing! 💕⁣⁠

One of my favorite ways to get genuine emotion from my couples is to play the song they plan to use as their first dance, let them actually dance with each other and give them some SPACE. ⁠
⁣⁠
If they don’t know their first dance song, I will use whatever “their song” is - they always have at least one! And I’ll have the groom play it on his phone and put his phone in his suit jacket or pants pocket so they can hear it. ⁠

Do you ever feel like we should have a rewind, fast-forward, or just a delete button?

I sure can tell you a few times that I wish I didn't say that or let's rewind that Saturday afternoon, or we just delete and forget that it's Monday!

And lately, I have been feeling that burnout feeling that I want to forget everything and quit, But let me assure you I am not a quitter.

For now, I will leave you with this! It's Monday; drink coffee and chase it with water. Dance during your brain farts and get back to business!
