I have been derelict and my apologies. And It is not just because Jeff is blowing my doors off with his great shots of New York. This is a classic capture and I am so proud of my bro’s work. Bravo bro

This image was shot by Ron. It is apparently a desert, quite possibly Kelso Dunes. He does love the desert. He has a great eye for lines, shapes and textures, as well as tonality which is so beautifully rendered here. And he annoys the hell out of me when he creates a great image like this and I emerge from our desert expeditions with boring images of piles of sand and scraggly bushes. Well done, sensei!

The simple pleasures of Mexico!This image was made by brother Ron. Great capture of natural light and for me it establishes an immediate emotional connection where I can hear the gentle waves washing the sand and taste the Corona with lime washing down my throat. Great shot, bro.

This retro-vibe image taken by brother Ron of the iconic Roy’s Motel on Route 66 near Amboy is a throwback to a simpler time. I love the light he captured - the sign, the sky and the highlights on the cottages. Absolutely nailed it, bro! Well done.

Brother Jeff captured this great shot in San Miguel de Allende. He originally posted it in color but I particularly love the subtle, yet extensive, range of tones in this BNW iteration. The dog’s expression and situation are perfect adjuncts to this wonderful image. Booyah Bro

Brother Ron shot this image in some desert somewhere, quite possibly out by 29 Palms in California. He loves the desert and seems to have a spiritual connection to it, as seen here in his ability to perfectly capture light and shadow backlighting the cacti to dramatic effect. Great eye and fine craftsmanship, bro!

I have often seen this old character in centro but my attempts to capture him have so far gone unrewarded. Somehow Jeff was able to get this wonderful shot of him and it is really the beautiful hands that make it. Congratulations bro and a tip of the sombrero to you amigo.

I had seen this old woman on the street, hand out for alms, many times. She barely acknowledged a coin in her palm. Brother Ron really captured the raw solitude of her apparent sadness with respect and a deft, gentle touch with this image. Well done, bro. You compassionately witness this story with due respect. This sort of street photography is particularly demanding. Perhaps this quote by Ram Dass is fitting: “Compassion refers to the arising in the heart of the desire to relieve the suffering of all beings.”
