Today is my parents 31st anniversary and they are truly as happy together as this photo looks! They have given us the best example of what a happy loving marriage should look like, and what more could you give your two daughters than that!?! Love you!!!!!

That one time in mexico where I approached 2 random couples visiting from France and asked if I could take photos of them the next day before they head home and they thought I was asking them to pay me right then for beach photos 😂 good times good times also this weather needs to get sunnier because we’ve been sick constantly since coming home andddd I have zero energy 🤪

Couple sessions: “just cause”… thoughts?

When my mom saw these photos I did she said “I would give soo much to just go back one day and have that time in our early relationship when we were young photographed in a nice way!”

It’s so hard to justify spending money on things that aren’t “necessary” like a photo shoot when you don’t have a huge reason for it…

But the things people keep THE MOST from their past? Photos!

It’s just so special to me to have the stages of our life documented, as you are, in that specific time and place!

What’s your thoughts of just for fun sessions? Important or unnecessary? Something to prioritize or superfluous?

I’ve been dying for a family photoshoot and was sooo sad when my sister had to cancel her trip here and also couldn’t take our photos (the photographer is always in the least photos themselves lol) so I have just been trying to setup random little photos, or hand the camera to greg or someone.

I don’t have a tripod and I just quickly setup a general shot, focus on greg standing in position, set to self timer, and RUN in the shot (and then it takes about 10 shots) and we just try to randomly interact and make it fun for eisley!

Gonna be so worth the effort having our life (especially with growing babies) documented

But then I take forever ever sharing images so 2022 that’s gonna change and im just gonna post what I feel like and probably not care about feed aesthetic as much or hashtags or alll the multitudes of things your “supposed” to do perfectly on social media…

I just wanna share photos cause I love them and encourage others to be in them and take them more!

I could end this rant with a “perfect” call-to-action as I “should” to boost engagement but I’m not gonna 😂

Mexico livin’ suits Eis and me sooo much 🙃

It’s hard to remember to bring my camera to our everyday life but every time k do and we put a little bit of effort into snapping some pics I am always SO thankful!!

Get in front of a camera with your fam this week, wherever you are, with whatever camera you have, you won’t regret it!

I’ve had some amazing sessions in the past few months that I want to start sharing after my long ig hiatus 😊 but I’m still just going to be on here when I want, and take breaks often! It feels good :)

Anyone recognize them? I did their photos when their oldest was a baby, also in the fall 😌 it was so special capturing them again all these years later!!!!

This past weekend I was a bridesmaid in Oregon (6 hour drive... with a 4 week old 😂 (yup: I’m crazy lolll) but! I had tons of help with my parents, sis, and some besties so we made due! And I’m so glad I was there for my girl !

It was a beautifulll wedding and the speeches made me cry (again I point out the 4 week postpartum thing lol) and we got to dance and party and see our friends so showered in love :)

Can’t wait for these guys wedding in a month in Sechelt Sunshine Coast 😍 (again.... family there to help out with baby E makes all this work!)

This photo makes me so HAPPY! Seeing them be so genuinely happy and carefree surrounded by their favourite people.

It’s sad that “Bridezilla” is such a common term. I’m always reallly big on encouraging and fostering an environment on the wedding day where joy rules over perfectionism, always trying to remind the wedding party, bride, groom and guests even, that ITS ALL GOOD!
🌿
What’s the point of freaking out over the “details” of the wedding not going perfectly (let’s say the dress got a little messy, or the grooms haircut isn’t perfect or the decoration keeps getting blown over by the wind, etc.) when worrying about those things will overshadow the joy!?
When it comes down to it, this day is about so much more, and you should have FUN and feel happy and free!!

I’ve absolutely loved editing their preview photos. Here’s the thing though: I’m always telling my brides to not sweat the small stuff, don’t stress if things don’t go quite as planned... but when it took me THIS long to send the preview photos (lol because of life stuff, ya know, no big deal just like going into a long hard labour and having A BABY 10 days after 😂 etc.) soo much harder to listen to my own advice!!!!

But these beautiful people have been nothing but understanding and even ENCOURAGING me to not rush on their photos and how “Those first days/weeks are so essential for attachment”! and i so appreciate them and this reminder to just...chill out, and even if things don’t go as perfectly planned.... ITS ALL GOOD!
🌿 hopefully this is a good reminder for someone else today!
