Meeting Josef Koudelka, one of the most powerful and uncompromising photographers of the 20th century, was one of them. A master of bearing witness, of exile. The kind of photographer who reminds you why this work matters.

Thank you to the Brussels Street Photography Festival for creating the conditions where something like this becomes possible, and for building a festival that truly honors the art form. It was exceptional in every way.

I had the best time surrounded by good vibes and people I appreciate deeply.

The photograph is the easy part.

What you do with it afterward, the edit, the sequence, the decision about which image stays and which one was only a rehearsal, is where the story gets made. That is the week we built.

👉🏽 From Street to Story: six photographers, seven days in Buenos Aires. Fieldwork through San Telmo, La Boca, Once and Almagro by day. Editing and sequencing at the core. A full day in the pampas at La Fiesta de la Tradición, in San Antonio de Areco.

📍 Led by Ximena Echagüe (New York Times, National Geographic, ICP) and Sandra Hernández (The Guardian, Forbes, Gatopardo). Two ways of reading a city, one question: where does the story actually live?

We select on the work and the intention behind it, not on credentials. We read every application.

Menorca filled up with photography last week, and with something harder to manufacture: genuine warmth.

The Raw Photofest brought together talks and exhibitions of real quality, but what stayed with me most was the people. Familiar faces, long conversations, the kind of connection that only happens when a community gathers around something it truly loves.

I’m grateful to have shown work there, and even more grateful to have been in the room.

Hace unos días, en el Museo Nacional de Antropología, fui una de las diez arquitectas homenajeadas en la ceremonia de Entretejidas, un reconocimiento a mujeres que, desde la arquitectura, han abierto camino en distintos territorios de la disciplina.

Este evento forma parte de los 50 años del en Ciudad de México y fue posible gracias al trabajo de un equipo liderado por Zaida Muxí y Alessandra Cireddu con una mirada que celebra la diversidad de formas en que se puede habitar esta profesión.

Ver proyectada una versión de mi vida en una sola secuencia fue muy emotivo. Pero lo más conmovedor de este encuentro no fue verme a mí, sino formar parte de un grupo de diez mujeres con trayectorias que no se parecen y, sin embargo, algo las cose.

Gracias a Zaida, Alessandra, Mariana, Erandi, y a todo el equipo detrás de Entretejidas. Y gracias a las otras nueve mujeres con quienes tuve el honor de compartir escenario: Celia Esther Arredondo, Carina Arvizu, Fernanda Canales, Armida Fernández, Edna Lucía Garza, Kalinka Mikel, Angélica Ortiz, Patricia Torres y Miriam Villaseñor. Conocer de cerca lo que han hecho fue realmente inspirador.

El tiempo no siempre avanza. A veces se detiene, se observa, se transforma en imagen.

Me dará mucho gusto participar en la presentación de “El lado inmóvil del tiempo: músicos que hacen fotografía”, un proyecto que cruza dos lenguajes: la música y la imagen.
