Casa Piscina del Cielo (Zihuatanejo) - Part III - interior & exterior photography of this cliffside beauty.

Three days, thousands of shots taken…and one stunning home. A dream to photograph: from sunrise light entering the spaces, to the tiniest design details by regional artisans (from Guadalajara to Mexico City).

The Star of the house - and the reason for its name - is that spectacular pool, with glass floor panels, engineered by Manuel Mojica (the same project manager behind the iconic Grand Canyon Skywalk).

Standing beneath that pool on the “Sunrise deck” felt out of this world (definitely my favorite space of the house).

Photographing the architecture and interiors was a bit of a challenge: the house looks stunning both in the morning and afternoon light. Open spaces flowing into one another and outdoors, ocean views from every corner, details and textures - no wonder the session took 3 days straight.

Designed by Danielle Rios Design Studio (), executed by Zozaya, this project is pure storytelling in architecture.

Congrats to Danielle and her team for creating this gem, and for the publications: Architectural Digest, Beverly Weekly, Forbes - and more to come.

Grateful to work with talented creatives, and share 📸 🙏🏼

Amplitude Coliving - Part II - Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca 🏠📸

I love projects where the founder’s personality just shines through everything and reflects in the property. Kenny is young, energetic, and genuinely loves building community.
So, the concept of Coliving makes so much sense and fits him perfectly🤙🏼

It also made me think how Puerto is changing…and how this concept is one of the smartest responses to the reality of 2026 traveliving - remote work, longer stays, and craving real community. And all of this without giving up comfort.

What was especially cool about Amplitude is that it’s not just functional - it’s architectural. Kenny recently shared how intense the build journey was, and it shows: this is not a generic “beds + coworking” concept - it feels designed and full of style. Makes sense they’ve got 95%+ occupancy since month one.

Architectural context:
The concept comes from “amplitude” as a wave - the idea that a space can amplify relationships, energy, and daily life. A few important design moves:
- Community through circulation: courtyards, open corridors, and shared paths that naturally create “run into each other” moments - without forced socializing.
- Clear architectural language: rhythmic arches, strong geometry, and a warm mineral palette that fits the coastal context.
- Real variety of rooms: from spacious loft-style rooms to more compact options, depending on how much space you want.
- Common areas that actually support daily life: A/C coworking, a big kitchen, and a pool that becomes the social heart (with Paco the swan as the mascot).
This feels like that sweet spot between hostel life and hotel life - people can share the experience and make friends, but still keep their privacy and comfort.

WPPI conference 2026.

This was my 2nd WPPI attended.
Although this year I intended to go with no expectations, the flow still carried us in amazingly unexpected directions.
So much happened over these 4 days - we:

Met the one and only. The Legend. Annie Leibovitz.
Watched her present her new book, and were among the “lucky 100” to get it signed.

Reunited with last year’s crew and made lots of new friends ( is no doubt one of the most incredible characters met).

Learned a ton from the best creators and educators.

Gambled “just for fun”.
Won $100 USD 😃

One of my highlights of the conference: Chris Orwig. His masterclass, character and an amazing open soul.
Genuinely crying at a photo seminar wasn’t part of my plan 🥲.

He is the Mr.Rogers of the photography world. Please meet this guy, give him the biggest hug and just enjoy his incredible magical presence.

We also partied a bit - on dancefloors, at private suites...and in a gigantic closet.

Attended the surreal VSCO Photo Exhibiton party.

Finally got a breath of fresh air in my element.
Valley of Fire.

More stuff happened but wasn’t photographed - as:
- WPPI Expo with industry updates (learned a lot from Canon and Godox in particular).
- Adobe Lightroom & Evoto focus groups. I feel honored to have been invited as a professional to discuss their software with the product teams.
- Lots of freebies + our photos printed by Canon printing Bay in large format.
- A-ha moments and insights during the conference - excited to channel this motivation and knowledge into work upon return.
Most importantly - all of the amazing humans I met over this week

If you’re a photographer, travel and feel social enough to meet, learn and share for several days - WPPI is an incredible opportunity.

Being surrounded by THOUSANDS of photographers.
Share. Learn. Exchange. Create. Have fun.
It’s just such a different experience from anything else.

Events like this help us grow as people and community.

Time to fly back. Absorb. Recharge.
Incorporate into life.
Thank you 🙏🏼

Interior photos for Aflora Tulum - a jungle-view condo.

On my recent trip to Tulum I was happy to visit again my favorite place - Aflora.
It keeps growing, and this time we photographed the new jungle-view condos.
As always, abundant with light (that one is sunrise-oriented), my favorite mid-day lines on the terrace, and cozy interiors.

Thank you being amazing and for having me, 🙏🏼🙌🏼. Till the next one!

A veces andamos buscando experiencias intensas y emociones fuertes, viajes épicos y recuerdos grandes. Y hay otros momentos que, más bien, se sienten simples mientras pasan… y grandes cuando los recuerdas.
Gracias🙏🏼✨

Christmas came early - and this award is personally very important to me 🏆🎉

Got the 2nd and 8th place at the Wedding Awards 2025, in the categories Home Sweet Home and Expressive Void!

To me, MyWed is the most important wedding photo portal. Aside from the awards, people from all over the world constantly upload their photos there - it’s like Instagram but for wedding photographers 🙂 And I’ve been getting inspiration from it, checking out trends, looking up to it, for many years now.

This is the first time when I got into the finalists on this portal, among thousands of photographers from all over the world. Thank you to MyWed and the judges, congrats to all the winners - so stoked and humbled to be on the same list with Top professionals that I admire 🫶🏼✨

🙏🏼 Every wedding and every session is a teamwork - I definitely wouldn’t have done it without people I work with, my family who supports me, and the amazing couples who trust me.
For these 2, it wouldn't be possible without and her help and talent in crafting every detail, and and her assisting and motivation during that “desert session” 🙏🏼

And a huge thanks to an amazing teacher : for inspiring me to start getting into contests a couple of years ago, and for your masterclass on portfolio curation🙏🏼

Some story behind the shots:

🏆 2nd place - “Home Sweet Home”:

Ever since I saw those beams, I started calculating the time when the sun might hit the wall just right. Then placed the jacket. And just waited for Kawika to go downstairs to complete the shot.

Venue:

🏆 8th place - “Expressive Void”:

No, it’s not Nevada or Utah - it’s Jalisco!
An amazing after-wedding session of Nat&Mau.

I’m blessed with couples like you, guys - who say “how about we just drive into the middle of a dry lake a couple hours away from the city?”
Will definitely post more from that session one day ✨

Thank you 🙏🏼🫶🏼

You can plan the heck out of your journey - and enjoy those planned moments.
But often the BEST memories - the ones you keep for years - are the ones born when things didn’t go according to plan.
When you get lost, run out of time, drift off track...eventually letting go and enjoying the journey.

And all of a sudden you may find yourself in the middle of a misty field, lit by the sunset on one side and the moon on the other, wrapped in silence and with horses quietly keeping you company.

The plan slips away, leaving you with nothing but that pause and its magic - the gift of now.

Grateful for moments like this, and reminders to keep an open mind 🙏🏼
