𝘈𝘩𝘩𝘩, Valladolid, the Mexican town of cheerfully-colourful streets, and a popular launching-off point for adventurers hoping to explore the Yucatan’s many, many mysterious crystal-clear cenote swimming holes!
Despite the fact that millions of tourists simply whiz by Valladolid on their way to visit the popular Chichen Itza ruins, Valladolid is still a lovely hidden gem off the beaten path with so much to see and do.
Sadly, our time in Valladolid (which was of course supposed to include lots of cenote-hunting) was cut short, as we tested Covid-positive during our visit here. We decided to leave, opting to isolate in a private villa in a sleepy little coastal beach town until we tested negative (don’t worry, we were absolutely fine - I didn’t even know I was sick until I lost my sense of taste for awhile, and we’ve long since recovered).
Anyways, what we 𝙙𝙞𝙙 see of Valladolid we absolutely loved, so it remains perched upon our Yucatan bucket list, and we’ll be back very soon 🤗
