Hummingbird, Mexico City. I love that you can find these beautiful birds all over the city wherever there are flowers. Lot's of government supported efforts have been made to provide habitats for these highly important birds due to their pollinating behaviour.

Views from Helvellyn summit on Monday. We took the Striding Edge route which was a bit sketchy in the snowy conditions but we managed to pick a safe track and the hard work was rewarded with stunning views over Genridding and Ullswater.

Goldfinch atop some dry thistles. Always a pleasure to photograph these attractive little birds, especially in good lighting.

Female Kestrel remained perched on her rock and allowed me to get quite close. I was hoping to capture them hunting mid flight but the opportunity didn't come on this day.

Goldcrest amongst the spikes of a Gorse Bush. It's easy to miss these little birds as they're pretty quick and often hidden amongst the foliage. If you're lucky though, you can see how striking they are.

Sika Hind with a calf follower. I didn't see many stags yesterday, but as we move closer to the rut, you will start to hear them calling. I always like to see these animals. Unfortunately, here in Dorset, it is too often to see them on the edges of roads where accidents are inevitable.

A nice walk in the woods yesterday morning. A few glimpses of wildlife that will soon disappear as autumn cools and we move into winter. This is one of my favourite local walks, there's always plenty to see and a good place to enjoy some quiet.

Monkey business!
I love to watch these long Tailed Macaques playing and feeding in their troops amongst the trees. This one was eating a mouthful of leaves but I thought it could be mistaken for a cheeky expression.
