Joann Andrews has passed away, an eminent conservationist who devoted a large part of her life to protecting the ecosystems of the Yucatán Peninsula. She was a woman of profound intelligence and vision who had a positive impact on so many people, myself included. Shortly after meeting her in 2012 we had the opportunity to conduct an extensive interview with her about her life and work, which became a three-part feature for our blog, rideintobirdland.com.
