The first time Bree and I spoke, I felt it immediately that rare sense of recognition where you just know this is going to be something special. She described what she and Shane wanted their day to feel like with such clarity and such warmth, and I was genuinely moved to be invited into it.
The weekend began the evening before, on a boat cruising along the Amalfi Coast, the colourful houses of Positano climbing up the cliffs above us as the sun went down.
And then Bree did something I will never forget.
She stopped. She looked around at every single person on that boat and took the time to tell them, one by one, what they meant to her. Not a toast. Not a speech. Something quieter and far more generous than that. She gave each of her people a moment of being truly seen.
Wedding weekends move fast. The people who come to celebrate you have rearranged their lives to be there. What Bree created that evening was a different kind of beginning. Intentional and already so full of love before the wedding day had even started.
Here is a little piece of that story.
