Golden Hour Whale Shark. ✨

As we headed back home after a plentiful and eventful first day out on the Gulf of California, the sun was already sinking deep into the horizon. Golden light danced on top of the water when suddenly, we came across a silhouette at the surface… softly glowing in the evening light. 🌅

One final surprise to end the day. A whale shark. Feeding calmly on plankton at the surface. 🌊

Growing up to 18 meters (60 feet) long, whale sharks are the largest fish on our planet. Gentle giants, spotty friends, roaming our oceans. And there we were, slipping into the water during the very last moments of golden hour, watching the sunlight illuminate the face of this beautiful animal.

Moments like these leave you speechless for a second… before turning into the biggest grins behind our masks. 🤿

What a mesmerising world we get to call home. 🌎

Endless personality. 💙🐡

Meet our little mascotte “Squirt” the Pufferfish, one of the many curious residents to inhabit Baja’s mesmerising waters. Welcomed by hundreds of pufferfish, but this little character completely stole the show. 👀

Would you just look at those eyessss 🥹?! Unreal. ✨

Video postcards from the Red Sea, captured with the DJI Osmo Action 6 | supported by & . ✨

After an amazing time spent in Egypt testing this incredible action cam, I landed on a settings combination that delivers the underwater look I’d been dreaming of! Super-accurate white balance straight out of camera: warmth, tint, hues, blues… nailed! Rich blacks, beautiful contrast and well-balanced shadows. 🤌

Here’s my secret 🤫👇
• 1:1 / Ultra wide
• 4K 60fps
• RockSteady
• Exposure -0,7EV
• ISO 100-800
• Auto white balance
• Normal 10bit
• Stabilization: daily
• Sharpness: -1
• Noise reduction: -1

📥 Save this post for later if you’d like to try these settings for yourself.

💬 Which scene from this series speaks to you most? We’d love to hear in the comments.

🌊 Next playground to put this powerhouse to work: Baja California Sur. 🇲🇽✨

A tribute to the land and the sea of Egypt 🇪🇬✨.

Our Freediving AIDA 1 & 2 expedition through the Red Sea was filled with growth, laughter, deep focus, little breakthroughs. From first equalizations and duck dives to longer, calmer hangs underwater… watching everyone evolve over the course of the week was something truly special. 🌊

But beyond the training and certifications, what made this journey unforgettable was the feeling of connection. To the ocean, to ourselves, to the land, to our local partners and to the beautiful group of humans who shared this adventure together. 💙

Endlessly grateful to everyone who trusted us, challenged themselves and became part of this experience. Until the next breath-hold adventure. 🤿✨

Where Worlds Meet.🌀

A moment engraved forever: rising ever so gently towards the surface, we were greeted by a young male humpback whale in the remote South Pacific waters of Tonga, while he perfectly aligned with the boundary between sea and sky. 🌊🌥️

Below the waterline, his white belly and long pectoral fins were absolutely glowing against the deep blue; above, our small boat drifted quietly, leaving all of us in complete awe. ✨

📸 With opportunities like this that don’t come around often, I tried to bridge these two worlds with a split-level image. An intimate encounter revealing how closely the lives of whales intersect with our own. A reminder of both their vulnerability and the responsibility we carry to protect this extraordinary planet we share and are privileged to call home. 🌏
