🇲🇽 Siempre me emociona encontrar al Picochueco Vientre Canela (Diglossa baritula) aquí en la Ciudad de México.

De hecho, esta especie fue la razón por la que adopté la costumbre de revisar siempre los colorines cuando salgo a observar aves 🤭🌿. Con el tiempo descubrí que es uno de los lugares donde más frecuentemente los encuentro, al igual que a varias calandrias.

Pequeño, activo y con un pico especializado que le da su nombre, este habitante de los bosques y parques de la ciudad siempre hace que una pajareada sea más especial ❤️

🇺🇸 I am always excited whenever I find a Cinnamon-bellied Flowerpiercer (Diglossa baritula) here in Mexico City.

In fact, this species is the reason I developed the habit of always checking coral trees while birding 🤭🌿. Over time, I realized they are one of the places where I most often find this species, along with several orioles.

Small, active, and equipped with the specialized bill that gives it its name, this bird always makes a birding outing feel a little more special ❤️

🇲🇽 La Garcita Verde es una de esas aves que siempre disfruto observar. Sus colores, vocalizaciones y movimientos la convierten en una especie realmente fascinante.

Esta la encontré en la Laguna Nichupté, en Cancún, recorriendo la orilla mientras buscaba cuidadosamente su próxima presa 🌿🐟. Ver la paciencia y precisión con la que caza siempre resulta impresionante.

A pesar de sus increíbles colores, esta especie suele pasar desapercibida entre el follaje de la selva caribeña. Su comportamiento tranquilo y sigiloso hace que encontrarla sea siempre una experiencia emocionante 🌿❤️

🇲🇽 🐦✨ Siempre me ha fascinado la forma en que la Anhinga Americana se desplaza por el agua, dejando visible únicamente su largo cuello mientras busca alimento.

Esta fotografía la tomé hace tiempo en Cancún, justo en el momento en que logró capturar un pez para comer 🎣🤭 Presenciar y fotografiar estos instantes es una de las cosas que más disfruto de observar aves.

Conocida también como "pájaro serpiente", esta especie es una experta pescadora y una de las aves acuáticas más sorprendentes que podemos encontrar en la región 🌿

🇲🇽 A veces las mejores observaciones ocurren cuando menos las planeas. Durante una pajareada ligera en Chapultepec mientras probaba unos binoculares nuevos, tuve la fortuna de encontrarme con esta impresionante Aguililla Rojinegra.

Su mirada intensa y porte elegante transmiten una gran sensación de fortaleza, convirtiéndola en una de las rapaces más llamativas de la ciudad. Lo que más me sorprende es que, a pesar de su apariencia imponente, es relativamente común verla en esta zona de la Ciudad de México. 🌿

🇺🇸 Sometimes the best bird sightings happen when you least expect them. While testing a new pair of binoculars during a casual birding walk in Chapultepec, I was lucky enough to come across this beautiful Harris's Hawk.

Its intense gaze and elegant posture give it a remarkable sense of strength, making it one of the most striking raptors in the city. What surprises me most is that, despite its impressive appearance, it is relatively common to see in this part of Mexico City. 🌿

🇲🇽 Hay aves que terminan convirtiéndose en parte de nuestros lugares favoritos, y para mí la Matraca del Desierto es una de ellas.

Cada visita a San Miguel de Allende se siente incompleta sin escuchar su característico canto o verla desplazarse entre los cactus y matorrales. Con el tiempo he tenido la fortuna de observarla tan de cerca y tantas veces que se volvió una parte fundamental de mis pajareadas en la región.

Curiosa, activa y llena de personalidad, es una especies que ojalá todos pudieran conocer, escuchar y aprender a apreciar.

🇲🇽 Considerado por muchos observadores como una de las joyas de Parque Cancún, este elegante zopilote destaca por su cabeza amarillenta y su vuelo ligero sobre humedales y sabanas. No es raro que pajareros de diferentes partes del mundo lo tengan entre sus especies más deseadas durante una visita a la región.

Cada encuentro con esta especie es especial y un recordatorio de la increíble diversidad que aún podemos encontrar muy cerca de nosotros.
