Across the Maldives, climate change is reshaping not only coastlines and communities, but also the country’s cultural heritage. At sites such as Koagannu Cemetery in Hithadhoo, Addu and Havitha in Isdhoo, Laamu, centuries of history remain exposed to the rising seas and extreme weather. This video series is about how communities adapts to a changing climate and the importance of saving the history attached to these islands and their cultural identity.
Sharing few frames from video documentary produced in collaboration and guidance of NAP Global Network and Ministry of Environment and Energy Ministry of Climate Change, Environment and Energy. All footages were filmed and was possible with the help from the communities of Hithadhoo, Addu and Isdhoo, Laamu. The series were narrated by iffy ☆ and scripted by Moosa Zameer.
