Over the years I’ve used self portraiture as a vehicle to reach myself - a tool to help me wade through the occasional existentialism that can render me wide eyed, panicked and mute.
On those days where I can’t quite grasp the core of who I am, the camera becomes a confidant, a twin, a mirror; a chance to return to myself, to understand the spirit within this vessel.

The camera continues to be one of the biggest gifts in this sweet, riotous life of mine. What a blessing ✨✨

In Living Memory is open!
21 Feb - 30 Mar

This body of work is the culmination of a very special commission with .
Over the last 6 months, I’ve worked with some beautiful souls to interrogate and (re)construct the Black family photo album, within the context of Peckham and its surrounding areas.
From hall parties to intimate moments with kin, this work is a celebration of the every day; the plethora of moments, irrespective of diasporic culture, that make up a full life lived.

In Living Memory marks a turning point in my photographic practice, where I move beyond the two-dimensional photograph into materiality and experimentation through installation.

In August I had the absolute honour of spending the day with The Apostles of Muchinjikwa – a community of mainly Zimbabwean churchgoers who uphold the practices of indigenous Christian Apostolic churches hailing from Southern Africa.

Characterised by their distinctive white garments and traditional customs, this series focuses on the “Jorodhani” a major baptism ceremony inviting Mapostori (members of the apostolic church) to the waters of South End on Sea to sing, dance and worship for many hours.

Commissioned by the beautiful folk over at .studio.
Currently exhibiting in Birmingham.

EXCLUSION ZONE is now open until 5th Nov at Brixton House.
Thank you to all of the beautiful people that braved the storm and came through to the opening last night ✨✨

Big big thank you to the for believing in the project and funding the show, to the whole team at for giving the show a home and to my ride or die .tacks for bringing all the opening night details to life.

Special thanks to the G for being the installer of my dreams and making the show look delicious 💪🏾

And finally, this show is dedicated to the gorgeous people of Montserrat, who are standing firm and continuing to lay claim to their homeland.

This exhibition is a fraction of the work I’ve made in Montserrat. The dream is to transpose the work into a photo book, so holla if you’re a publisher!
