လႆႈႁူႉဝႃႈ ဝၢၼ်ႈဢၼ်ၼႆႉတႄႇ ပိုတ်ႇပၼ်ၵူၼ်းဢႅဝ်ႇလႄႇလဵပ်ႈႁဵၼ်းႁွတ်ႈထိုင် တင်ႈတႄႇမိူဝ်ႈပီႊႁိမ်းႁွမ်း 1990 ၼႆယူႇ။ တႅၼ်းတီႈတေပၼ် ႁူင်းၵၢၼ်လူင် မႃးလူင်းတိုၼ်းလၢင်းၼၼ်ႉ ၶဝ်ၵေႃႉႁုၼ်ႈမုၼ်းလႄႈ ယုၵ်ႉမုၼ်းလၢႆးဢၼ်ယၼ်ၼိူဝ် ၵူၼ်းဝၢၼ်ႈလႄႈ ၽိင်ႈတူင်ႇတီႈၶဝ် တွၼ်ႊတႃႇၵူၼ်းမႃးဢႅဝ်ႇလႄႇယူႇယဝ်ႉ။
တေႃႈလဵဝ်ၼႆႉ မႄႈၵမ်းပွင်းၼႆႉပဵၼ် တီႈဢၼ်ၸိုဝ်ႈ သဵင်လိုဝ်းလင်လူၺ်ႈ ၼမ်ႉၵတ်ႉၵူၼ်းဝၢၼ်ႈႁူမ်ႈၵၼ်၊ ၽိင်ႈငႄႈၽိင်ႈထုင်းပိုၼ်ႉတီႈ၊ ႁိူၼ်းဢၼ်ဢဝ်မႆႉႁဵတ်း ၸိူဝ်းၼႆႉ။ ၵူၼ်းၵမ်ႈၼမ်လႆႈၸႂ်မႃးလႄႇ ယွၼ်ႉၽိင်ႈၾႃႉၵတ်းယဵၼ်လီလႄႈ သႃႇယႃၸႂ်လီၼၼ်ႉယဝ်ႉ။
Mae Kam Pong is a small mountain village located in Mae On District, about 50 kilometers east of Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand. The village is over 100 years old and has a rich history rooted in nature, culture, and community life.
The name “Mae Kam Pong” comes from a local stream called Mae Kam and a type of plant called Kam Pong that used to grow widely in the area. Long ago, villagers settled here because of the rich forest, cool weather, and water sources that made farming possible.
In the past, the main occupation of the people was tea and coffee farming, especially miang (fermented tea leaves), which was a traditional product of Northern Thai culture. The villagers grew tea in the forest without cutting down the trees, showing their deep respect for nature.
In the late 1990s, Mae Kam Pong began to open up to visitors. The villagers, instead of allowing big tourism companies to take over, decided to develop their own community-based tourism. They created homestays, guided tours, and cultural activities that allow tourists to experience local life in a respectful and sustainable way.
Today, Mae Kam Pong is known as a model for eco-tourism and community-based tourism in Thailand. The village still keeps its traditional charm, with wooden houses, a peaceful lifestyle, and beautiful natural surroundings. Visitors come to relax, learn about the local culture, and enjoy the cool weather and green forest.
หมู่บ้านแม่กำปองตั้งอยู่ในตำบลห้วยแก้ว อำเภอแม่ออน จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ห่างจากตัวเมืองเชียงใหม่ประมาณ 50 กิโลเมตร เป็นหมู่บ้านเล็ก ๆ บนภูเขาที่มีอายุเก่าแก่กว่า 100 ปี ชื่อ “แม่กำปอง” มาจากลำห้วยชื่อ “แม่กำ” และต้นไม้ท้องถิ่นที่ชื่อว่า “กำปอง” ซึ่งเคยขึ้นอยู่มากในบริเวณนี้
ในอดีต ชาวบ้านส่วนใหญ่ประกอบอาชีพปลูกชาและกาแฟ โดยเฉพาะการทำ “เมี่ยง” ซึ่งเป็นการหมักใบชาแบบดั้งเดิมของชาวล้านนา การปลูกชาในป่าโดยไม่ทำลายสิ่งแวดล้อม สะท้อนถึงความผูกพันและความเคารพต่อธรรมชาติของชุมชน
ช่วงปลายทศวรรษ 2540 หมู่บ้านแม่กำปองเริ่มเปิดรับนักท่องเที่ยว แต่ชาวบ้านไม่ให้บริษัททัวร์ขนาดใหญ่เข้ามาบริหารจัดการ กลับเลือกที่จะพัฒนาการท่องเที่ยวโดยชุมชนเอง มีการจัดทำโฮมสเตย์ กิจกรรมเรียนรู้วัฒนธรรม และการท่องเที่ยวเชิงอนุรักษ์
ปัจจุบัน แม่กำปองถือเป็นตัวอย่างที่ดีของการท่องเที่ยวโดยชุมชน ที่ยังคงรักษาวิถีชีวิตดั้งเดิม บ้านไม้เรียงราย อากาศเย็นสบาย และป่าธรรมชาติอันเขียวขจี ดึงดูดนักท่องเที่ยวให้มาเรียนรู้และพักผ่อนท่ามกลางธรรมชาติอย่างยั่งยืน
