Besides being the birthday of someone very close to my heart, today is also .

I grew up immersed in Scouting. My mother was the one who pushed me to join. Interestingly, she shares the same birthday as Robert Baden-Powell, February 22, the founder of the Scout Movement.

At first, I wanted to quit. But after every camp, the desire to return was always stronger than the thought of leaving.

It was during camps with Sampati Ladouze - FJKM Avaratr'Andohalo in Mahajanga that I discovered and experimented with photography. I brought along my father’s old analog camera, and that’s where it all began.

Photography and Scouting are two parts of my life that will stay with me until my last breath. Since 2025, I have had the honor of serving as Mi-Tily SARY's Prez, a collective of photographers from the Tily movement. Together, closely connected, we live each moment as if it were a photograph a fleeting frame that will never come back.

On this day of remembrance for the great Robert Baden-Powell, may we find the strength and courage to think and act here and now.
