ANUNŢ
Va salut pe toti!

La Observatorul Astronomic din Galati, Romania la inceputul vacantei de vara vom desfășura in mediul online activități extrașcolare de astronomie. La început vom desfășura lecții teoretice de astronomie observationala si de utilizarea unor softuri in cercetarea științifică. Vom invata sa utilizăm telescopul si camera CCD de la Observatorul Astronomic Galati. Vom face observații astronomice si reducere de date stiintifice. Cei interesați vor primi o adeverinta si d**a caz o recomandare pentru înscriere la o universitate. La final veti putea pune la CV si următoarele:

Competenta investigationala in astronomie observationala.

Abilități de a folosi un telescop dotat cu o camera CCD pentru a realiza observații stiintifice.

Abilitati de a realiza observatii astrometrice si fotometrice.

Deprinderi de a utiliza softurile Astrometrica, AstroImageJ pentru reducerea datelor astrometrice si fotometrice.

Deprinderi de a utiliza softul Peranso pentru analiza curbei de lumina la stele variabile.

Imaginea mult-așteptată a fazei totale a eclipsei din 21 august 2017! Alexandru Barbovschi a întâlnit o serie de dificultăți în obținerea ei, dar a depus efort pentru a trece peste ele toate și a obține un rezultat decent!

It won't be my last post about the eclipse, but this one is the culmination of the series! Finally the total eclipse photo I have been working on for many-many evenings... Lots of complications on the way to obtain it, biggest being shooting through the clouds, dirty camera sensor, purple fringing and... lack of decent processing skills :-) In the end I got what I wanted - an image which inspires me not to stop in learning and overcoming issues ^_^ I will try to describe, in a few FB posts or may be in a big blog post, how I achieved the presented result. Cea mai importantă parte de pregătire înainte de începutul eclipsei este focalizarea. Petele solare au ajutat foarte mult pe Alexandru Barbovschi la această sarcină!

50 minutes before C1 (aka first contact, or simpler said - beginning of the eclipse). Only 6 images went into this stack, but it turned out quite nice :-)

I was actually catching the eclipse with 2 cameras... The results from the one shooting video you already saw. Now I present one of the photos obtained by the other one which was shooting only stills... Yes, it also caught the airplane ;-)

Iarăși video-ul cu eclipsa, dar într-o calitate mai înaltă (doar nu uitați să setați 1080p) :-)

Weather forecast was bad, only NOAA was giving me some hope. Thankfully, it was indeed the good scenario, sky was cloudy, but not hiding the eclipse. Clouds actually…

Iata si video-ul fenomenal a eclipsei solare totale care a avut loc aproape o saptamina in urma! Distribuiti daca va placut. Vizionare placuta!

Weather forecast was bad, only NOAA was giving me some hope. Thankfully, it was indeed the good scenario, sky was cloudy, but not hiding the eclipse. Clouds ...

O imagine unicala captata de Alexandru Barbovschi!
Daca va place - pune-ti un like si distribuiti!

Right now I am in USA, I came here to see the Great American Eclipse. The most amazing experience in my life! Till the last moment it wasn't guaranteed that weather won't close the sky... But the odds were on my side! The sky wasn't completely clear, but as it turned out - it was better that way! Here is one still image from the video I was shooting. Later I will release the video itself... I will ask you only one thing - like and share please, I want this beauty to reach as many people as possible!
