In the largest medina of the world - part 9. Fez, Morocco, February 2026. The famous tanneries of Fez are actually hidden in the middle of medina and visible only from rooftops of leather shops. A real escape game: to see them without buying leather products. This places of animal skin craftwork is impressive by the traditional know-how preservation, questionable because of the workers’ health, animals and environmental impact, and also incredibly photogenic.

In the largest medina of the world - Part 8. Fez, Morocco, February 2026. It is rare to see the sun in these narrow, winding alleys bordered by high walls without openings. Getting lost there, on the other hand, is easier. It’s a photographer’s dream! Although people are not very keen on being photographed, their presence in the medina, sometimes contrasting, sometimes blending into the background, always helps to create sublime street images.

Third-Class intimacy' is my series and a long-term project I officialize in this end of 2025. I take the Trans-Siberian Railway at least once a year. Always in third class. Each time, I observe with the curiosity of a photographer and sociologist how people create a temporary private space for themselves in this public space, which is enclosed and densely populated by other travelers. The interplay of light and shadow, moving bodies and static objects is always fascinating.
