I am grateful to be part of the second exhibition organized by zawali at L'Blassa Art Gallery, titled Echoes of Sand & Stone. I will be showcasing alongside two extraordinary artists, Lama Nayouf from Syria and Saif Fradj from Tunisia. In this space, I’ll be presenting my Guerguerat Desert photo series.
The exhibition will start on October 25th, 2024, at 7:00 PM.

Christoph, a 36-year-old man, embarked on a six-month journey across the desert to overcome his drug addictions. I was honored to have the opportunity to interview Chris and create a short film documenting his path to self-discovery amidst the vast emptiness of the desert.

I am deeply humbled and grateful to Chris for opening his heart to me, a stranger in his world. I also extend my sincere thanks to Jean-Pierre Datcharry, the owner of Desert et Montagne Maroc and a pioneer in organizing long treks in Morocco, for allowing me to undertake this project, and to his entire team for their support.

I had the privilege of covering the campaign organized by UN WOMEN MOROCCO.
The campaign, which unfolded last month, featured a week of film screenings, the illumination of official buildings with orange lights, and various other activities aimed at raising awareness to end violence against women.
