Marakeş’in kalbi: Jemaa el-Fnaa. Adı “Kıyamet Meydanı” anlamına gelse de, burada hayat hep yeniden doğuyor. Müzisyenlerin ritmiyle karışan baharat kokuları, hikâye anlatıcılarının sesine karışan rüzgar…
Her köşesi, Fas’ın yüzyıllardır süregelen kültürel mirasının canlı bir sahnesi. Bu yüzden UNESCO’nun Somut Olmayan Kültürel Mirasın Başyapıtları projesine ilham kaynağı olmuş. Bende ise hep aynı hissi bırakıyor:
Dünyanın kalabalığında, insanı bulmak gibi...

It’s no wonder UNESCO’s Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity project found its inspiration here. For me, it always evokes the same feeling — finding humanity in the midst of the world’s chaos.
