This trip… honestly, I don’t even know where to start.

From Chile to Bolivia to Peru.
So different, all incredible… but the highlight has to be Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia.

A place that doesn’t feel real.
A dream team of photographers… every single one insanely talented, kind, and always up for a laugh.

every moment,
exactly where we needed to be.

It wasn’t just the landscapes…
it was the people.

One of those trips that stays with you for life.

San Pedro de Atacama is one of those places that feels quietly alive from the moment you arrive.

A dusty little town built on dirt roads, lined with clay walls, fairy lights, and doors that lead to cosy cafés, local shops, and the occasional bar that gets a bit louder as the night goes on.

It’s the base for everything out here. Early mornings heading off to hike through Mars-like landscapes. Afternoons sand boarding down golden dunes. And those surreal moments floating in a salt lagoon, wondering how this place is even real.

It might look small and unassuming at first… but it’s the gateway to some of the wildest, most unforgettable experiences in the Atacama Desert.

It genuinely felt like we’d landed on another planet.

Endless ridges, sharp and jagged, stretching as far as you can see. The reds were so rich they almost didn’t look real, changing with the light as the sun dipped lower. Standing there on the edge of the cliff was already surreal… but getting the drone up changed everything.

That’s when you realise just how far this landscape goes.

Miles of raw, untouched earth, folding and unfolding like waves frozen in time.

Bolivia, you’re something else.

Every trip, every country… a new dance.

This one took us through Chile, Bolivia and Peru.

Somewhere between the chaos, the early mornings, the altitude headaches and the “what have we signed up for this time?” moments… we find a few seconds to be completely ridiculous.

And that only works because of Sue.

She never questions it. Not the clapping, the jumping, the mid-desert dance breaks or the very questionable choreography. She just goes all in, every single time.

Through missed sleep, long drives, unpredictable plans and everything travel throws at us… this is the reset. The laugh. The moment that makes it all feel easy again.

And honestly… this is the energy I love bringing to every trip.

Save this as your reminder to find your people… and don’t take it all too seriously.

POV: you found a little hobbit-style cabin in the Atacama Desert

Hotel Kimal in San Pedro de Atacama, Chile is one of those places that just feels right the second you arrive. Rustic wooden cabins, cosy interiors, and your own little deck to sit out and slow down after a day exploring the desert.

Step outside and you’re straight onto the dusty, charming main street filled with cafés, shops, and that relaxed Atacama energy. Then back in for a dip in the pool or just doing absolutely nothing… which feels like exactly what you need here.

If you’re looking for where to stay in San Pedro de Atacama, this is such a good find.
