My name is Aleks and I have been passionate about wildlife photography for almost 5 years. My wife has pulled me into this fascinating “mess” and now she does not know how to get me out of it, besides, I am stronger 💪🏼 than her and I do resist. 😁

We are based in Latvia, — a small and s

till green country with rich flora and fauna in the North of Eastern Europe. As a person who loves nature and learned how to use a professional camera, I always plan my travel routes with a touch of “wild nature”. All what you will see here — is what I saw through the viewfinder of my camera while travelling around Latvia and Europe. Everything what you will read here — is my subjective opinion, which I try to back up with scientific literature and my own observations. So, if you love nature and wildlife, — I hope you will enjoy it through my photos and videos! 😉

"The Perfect Moment"
When you accidentally interrupt a golden eagle's freshly hunted prey meal. The eagle spots you and takes off with its entire catch (something woolly and very disheveled, perhaps a hare), and your camera's battery says "see you later," leaving your memory card completely "hungry."🥲
All I was able to do in that situation was become a simple, regular bird watcher.
Perhaps everything will work out next time, someday... 🙂

Did you know that foxes are actually the most greedy, insatiable animals in the woods? No joke, it’s true!
As a wildlife photographer, I’ve followed many wild animals — wolves, lynxes, raccoon dogs, martens, and plenty of different bird species. But none of them even come close to a fox’s sheer greed.
Get this: my trail cam caught a fox spending the entire night trying to steal a frozen, roadkill roe deer. It literally looked like trying to tow a whole apartment complex using a broken-down donkey. She was out of breath, taking breaks every 10 minutes, but she stayed on that grind until sunrise. Checking the cam footage in the morning, I was blown away! 🫣😁 The sheer willpower! Honestly, she could’ve easily raided a farm and hijacked a tractor... 😂

Well, summer is just around the corner. Those who occasionally see my posts and time to time checking my page have probably noticed that I post the fewest photos in the summer. That's right, summer is my quiet time. During this time, all my wild "models" are busy with family matters and their children. However, I decided to liven up this summer period with some non-standard for me content, mainley landscapes and little birds.
