From the historic streets of the capital to its distinctive landscapes, Luxembourg is featured in the September issue of Beyond Magazine , introducing the destination to travellers from around the world.

I’m delighted to have photographed this story and to see Luxembourg presented to an international audience through my lens.

A beautiful opportunity to showcase the character, heritage and atmosphere of a country I am proud to call home.

I was fascinated by the silence of the sculpture faces in Jardins d'Étretat. And decided to place a living face beside it and see what kind of dialogue would appear.

I chose a man because didn’t wanna the pearls to behave as expected. On a male face, they stopped being simply feminine decoration.

The pearls began as an ornament and became a veil. Something created to decorate the face slowly started to hide it.

White color removed everything unnecessary.

Funny enough, this wasn’t one of my favourite frames in 2021. Five years later, it’s one of the images I see completely differently.

The photographs haven’t changed. But the way I look at them has.
