MUDAM Museum

It’s been quite a while since a posted. During Covid most buildings were closed and next to that I have been low in my energy during the pandemic. Lately, I’ve noticed my energy level is slowly increasing, so hopefully I am able to make some more shots soon!

Mudam was designed by Sino-American and Pritzker Prize winning architect Ieoh Ming Pei
The architecture of the museum is intended as a dialogue between the natural and historical context of its site. In its orientation it represents a link between the past (the former Fort Thüngen and the historic city of Luxembourg), the present and the future (the European district of Kirchberg). Mudam is an iconic architectural landmark of Luxembourg City.

I loved the straight lines of the window behind the curves of the stairs. Hope you enjoy it too!

- GLOW 2021 -

Friday I had the opportunity to visit the preview of GLOW, the yearly light festival in Eindhoven. The theme of is and this year the locations are devided over 4 main areas in the city and even one in Nuenen.

Feeding the little nerd in me, GLOW always has a special place in my heart, as I love how the artists work together with scientists and technicians to create these wonderful installations. My love for gadgets and art comes together in this festival. I highly recommend you to visit GLOW the coming week. The festival will only last until Saturday November 13th. Showtime is 18:30 - 23:00. (End time differs per location)

———————————————————————- I was fortunate that I was invited to the preview of GLOW 2019 last Friday by
We started our tour at .eindhoven, which also had the official opening that day. A beautiful location for an event, to get married or just to eat and spend the night at .

So many beautiful projects to see along the route, such as the projection on the iconic “Witte Dame” at Clausplein and the lasershow at Philips stadium. And also this hommage to Van Gogh’s Sunflowers at Lichtplein. If you have a chance, go to Eindhoven this week to see these and many more objects, you will not be disappointed!

-A different perspective -

Throwback to a Rotterdam trip with , where we combined architecture hunting with experimenting with a lensball. This is one of the results, giving a different perspective on this spiral look up. I would like to invite you to look at the world from someone else’s perspective once in a while too. Maybe this will help understand others and make this world just a little bit better. Happy Staircase Friday!!

—————————————————————- I had a great short visit to Spain with friends and we visited Barcelona for a day. Great city and way to short to only be there for one day, especially with many lovely staircases around. So I only got the chance to visit a few spots, with my friends patiently waiting outside 🤣👍🏻 This staircase was high on my list due to the lovely lights in the center. Hope you like it! So it’s been a while since I posted. I took an unplanned break. I have an arm injury for a while and needed to take it easy and well..summer happened. I have been busy with other fun things and sometimes this just happens! But I am going to Barcelona next week and hopefully I will get some nice shots there. If you have tips on modern architecture, let me know! 😊👍🏻
