What you will experience as member of our club:
- A group of friendly people from many different countries, enjoying and sharing with each other their hobby "photography". We meet regularly for free evenings, meaning that everybody can bring some photos to be shared with the others on a big screen. You can bring some of your photos or just come and enjoy other's pictures. And don't be nervous: No
body expects Geographic Art kind of professional images; some nice pictures from your last vacation or weekend walk will be just fine.
- We have a mixture of semi-professional, hobby enthusiast and beginner photographers in the club. The main thing is that we all enjoy our hobby and that we inspire and learn from each other.
- We have special club evenings where for example a club member hosts the entire evening, e.g. showing a series of pictures from an interesting trip, or an external professional photographer presents his work.
- We have a library with books and magazines about photography that you can borrow.
- We have some photographic material that you can borrow. Cameras, lenses, tripods etc.
- Two of our club members operate and maintain a very nice photo studio in our club room with studio lamps, screens, tripod, which can be booked and used by club members.
- Sometimes we plan and carry out photo exhibitions: Everyone who wants to participate can take pictures under a certain subject that is discussed and decided at a club evening. The participants then take and show some pictures that they have taken for the subject, and we discuss and decide together which pictures we select for the exhibition. The selected images are then printed and - often together with some information about the subject and photographer - put up as our exhibition at different places in the country.
- Apart from our club evenings we sometimes have some special occasions like a photo trip, a vernissage or a restaurant evening together.
