Every shoot is an imprint of a person’s style and character on my style! I would never imagine doing something darker but when came by I thought well, my usual methods won’t work. I always try to show something in a person I work with the way I see it. Maybe it’s a hit, and maybe it’s going to be a miss, however it’s always a process of co-creation. 🤍

Came back home from Vienna and Egon Schiele exhibition with one thought - I am frequently scolding myself for majorly taking my closest friends and family as my muses. Egon, on the contrary drew most of his inspiration from his closest relatives - younger sister, for starters. I frequently ask my husband to pose for me, so looking at Egon’s work I got inspired and stopped stressing that much over working with someone I know so well. It’s not cheating on your craft - it gives you a sense of more profound work, allows you to study and experiment and get predictable results. So if you are only starting your way in photography - practice self-portraits, ask someone close to pose for you. This is already a great step moving forward.
