දවස් කීපයක් තිස්සේ ඉඳන් අතොරක් නැතිව වැටෙන වැස්ස වුණත් ටිකක් වෙනස් විදිහට දැනෙන දවස් හමුවෙනවා. මේ ජීවිතෙත් එහෙමයි. වැහි මන්දාරමත් එක්කම ගෙවෙන සමහර හවස් වරු හරි අපූරුයි. මේ ලෝකේ අපිට දැනෙන හැම හැඟීමකටම නමක් නැති වේවී ! නමක් හොයාගන්න ඕනේකමකුත් නැති වේවී ! ඒක නිදහස ද ? සාමය ද ? උණුසුම ද ? නෑ ! මං දන්නේ නෑ ! හැබැයි හිතට මහා පුදුමාකාර සනීප අමුතුම හැඟීම් ! එක දිගටම හෝ ගාලා වැටුණු චුරු චුරු වැස්ස යාන්තමින් පායාගෙන එනකොට හැන්දෑ අහස මහ පුදුමාකාර විදිහට වෙනස් වෙනවා ! ඒක නිතර දෙවේලේ දකින නිල් පාටක් නෙවේ.. හරි අමුතු නිල් පාටක් ! ටිකක් මළානිකයි වගේ... හැන්දෑ ආකාසේ ඔය විදිහට පාට වෙනකොට තමා කහ පාට ඉටිපන්දම් එළිය වුණත්, ලාම්පු එළිය වුණත් ගොඩාක්ම ලස්සනට පේන්නේ.
