A Solemn Tribute to Our Departed Sylvestrians

A dark cloud of sorrow hangs over the Battle of the Babes today as the St. Sylvester’s College family mourns the untimely loss of two of our beloved students, Nethula Nimdinu and Sachith Karunarathne.

What should have been a weekend of school spirit and celebration has turned into a time of deep mourning. Nethula’s life was tragically cut short in a fatal accident while on his way to support his school, and Sachith passed away despite a courageous battle and the best efforts of medical professionals.

The void left by these two young lives is immeasurable. As a community, we stand in solidarity with their grieving families, offering our prayers and deepest sympathies during this period of profound heartbreak.

May their souls find eternal peace 🕊️

Rest in Peace, young brothers.
