Most people who walk along Mount Lavinia beach have seen this place.
A burnt, empty building standing quietly beside the sea.
Years ago it was a lively beachfront hotel, filled with music, guests, and laughter. But after the tragic events of Black July, it was burned down and never rebuilt.
Today the ocean keeps moving, the sunsets are still beautiful, and the Mount Lavinia Hotel still watches over the beach.
But these silent ruins remain. holding a story many people have forgotten.
