Leemondo Wedding Photography- Sri Lanka

Through out my child hood up to now I have been a nature lover. My hometown Kurunegala has so many scenic beautiful natural habitats to a person who see beyond what meets the eye. I was a curious wonderer who enjoyed noticing the little changes of trees, blooming of flowers and wild animals who lurk around in search of food. I had a journal with me in which I used to write down small summaries of

my experiences along with beautiful photos of the scene with my Fathers old camera which was gifted to me at a very young age. One day as I was reading through my journal I realized the beautiful photos I captured from the camera brought so many memories back from what I originally experienced this drive within me was the turning point of my life and the first step of my life dedicating to photography. As I grew older somewhat around grade seven I enjoyed photographing people, special moments of every birthday I was at or be it any function of my school I always made sure that I captured every beautiful scene to bring back memories and cherish for a lifetime. To pursue my passion further I joined the photographers association of Kurunegala Maliyadewa College. With my parents and teachers guidance and protection I finished my higher education in the Commerce stream and to further expand my knowledge about photography I joined Studio 3000 as a wedding photo editor collecting great experiences for over two years. And I managed to work for two other studios at Kurunegala when I had the idea of having my own studio as a wedding photographer. It is beyond words to express that feeling of satisfaction within yourself to capture the beautiful moments of a couple who is living their dream of having a great wedding and starting off their life with breadth taking memories handed over to them as a Story Album to remember, love and cherish for a lifetime with their children and their loved ones. This passion was never a job to me I felt like this was meaning of my existence and everyone around me my family and friends guided me helped me in every possible was to make my dream a reality and now I am the young, proud owner my own photography studio “Studio Leemondo”. As a young wedding photographer I have come to an understanding that it is not the same laughter and happiness we experience in a moment which is captured through the eye of the camera the lens. The camera can capture and freeze a moment in time but it is the artistic talent of the photographers editing skill to bring forth a colourful image of the moment for a person to remember and enjoy as a life experience. Just like an artist who knows how and what colours mixed together will bring forth a vibrant painting at the end it is the pure skill set and experience based knowledge of the photographer that helps in creating a beautiful image that goes in a photo album as a well captured moment in time. As a young wedding photographer the journey that I’ve come so far and the achievements that has made me who I am today was all based on hard work, long days, sleepless nights and last but not least passion for what you do and I know as of now my happiness awaits in the end of this journey with me making so many people happy and remembering all those beautiful smiles on their faces when they are handed over with their wedding story album. When I look back at my life and what I have done so far my greatest happiness Is that I’ve stood up on my own, pursued and motivated myself to be one of the best wedding photographers Kurunegala has ever seen and my dream is to be the best in Sri Lanka.
