Patience rewarded. Captured this adult male leopard, “Nilame (නිලමේ)”, during my recent safari in Yala National Park. Moments like these are why I keep returning to the wild.

Sharing one of the unforgettable moments from my last visit to Kumana National Park. This female leopard was spotted just a few meters from the entrance. We had gone to the park office to renew our booking ticket and were on our way back when we noticed leopard footprints on our previous wheel tracks. We silently followed the footprints, but suddenly they vanished from the road. So, we drove a few meters ahead, turned the jeep around, and came back slowly. Then, we saw this shy female leopard walking towards us. I quickly captured this amazing frame.

On International Leopard Day, I’m sharing this amazing frame captured during my last visit to Kumana National Park. We found a leopard resting on a tree and started taking photos of it. After a few minutes, it got up and tried to climb down, so we thought there would be a chance to capture that moment. However, we couldn’t move our jeep because of other safari vehicles around us.

Then suddenly, the leopard appeared through an opening in the middle of the tree! It was a very exciting moment, and I was able to capture this unforgettable shot within just a few seconds.
