At the beginning of the art field, he is a gifted art director. He's been an Art director for films,Documentaries, Teledramas & Commercials since 1981. he's worked in some of the notable films such as Manika(Franch Film), Kelimadala and teledramas Du daruwo, Dawala Rathriya, Irata Handanamal....

He's well built a reputation for his creative, artistic and most innovative approach to wedding & Commercial photography with the use of up-to-date equipments & technology. He has been through the wedding photography for more than 30 years. Wedding photography is his key interest. Along with Wedding Photography,his next most interested fields of photography is Nature Photography. He has received Gold Medal @ Austrian Trierenberg Super Circuit, the world's largest photographic exhibition & competition in 2008. He's received the 'Grand Award Winner 2008' for the best photographer of Sri Lanka with 10 Gold, Silver and Bronze medals @ Photostar Circuit 2008

He is an active member of some notable Photographic societies & associations of Sri lanka. National Photographic Art Society of Sri lanka, Institute of Sri lankan photographers, Kelaniya Photographic Art society are some of them.
