Jaffna is habitat for many birds . It serves as a great habitat for migratory birds during winter season(September-march).As lagoons are filled with water,paddy fields and vegetation are lush green and air is cooler,We could enjoy a great time with lots of birds. Another important thing which we should take into consideration is that Jaffna is a paradise, gifted peninsula with lot of lagoons and vegetation. To keep this natural beauty, we should not pollute lagoons or oceans .If not ,the natural beauty and the great bio diversity will be collapsed and we will eventually miss this great paradise in future.
இயற்கை அழகும் வனப்பும் நிறைந்த யாழ்குடாநாட்டில் மழைகால தட்பவெப்ப நிலை பல வெளிநாடுப் பறவைகளை ஈர்க்கும் காலநிலை ஆகும் .எம்மைச்சுற்றியுள்ள இவ்வழகான இயற்கை முறைமை எப்பொழுதும் சமநிலை மாறாமல் இருக்கவேண்டும் என்றால் இயற்கைச்சூழல் மாசுபடாமல் பாதுகாப்பது எமது கடமையாகும் . அழகிய சில உள்ளூர் மற்றும் வெளிநாடுப் பறவைகளின் ஒளிப்படத்தொகுப்பு .

Play give children a chance to practice what they are learning. Smiles in their faces can never be a fake one. They are truly enjoying every moment. We have so much to observe and learn from children.

They teach us how not to be fake, how to be happy and enjoying.

Palm tree (பனை மரம் -pronouced as pa-nai-ma-ram in Tamil)|
Most parts of the the palm trees are used extensively in the Tamil culture.The leaves,pulp and juices are used to produce a variety of products including palm sugar which was a household item before the current white sugar beacame popular.

Prior to the introduction of papers,all Tamil scriptures, literature and all written afforts were written on palm leaves.The leaves were dried and kept at a certain temperature, so that poet and academics could write literary works on the leaves using a sharp metal writing instruments.

It also serve as iconic indentity of Jaffna peninsula.which is believed to be full of palm trees.But sadly the numbers are decreasing gradually. Now it is our responsibility to rethink the importance of palm trees and not to cut down all of them all in a sudden. -Living language, living heritage-
