Perhaps because there's a part of me that still feels like a child, I have a very fun, easy-going personality, and my shoots are playful experiences. I
only shoot on location / places that hold a special family meaning. Whether it's your home or your favorite park, the places you'll always remember are the most natural settings for your pictures. To get the most authentic photographs, I allow the children to dictate the flow of the session. Being a mother too, I know how important it is to be patient and calm as a newborn is fed and comforted, or as a toddler slowly sheds her camera shyness. Occasionally, I may give some gentle direction to make sure everyone is in the best light, but I am mainly an observer capturing memories as they unfold. I'm inspired by the simple sweetness of each day. I love using natural light because of its beautiful, soft quality, and how it changes over time. No posing necessary. No forced smiles. I believe in little messes, surprises, in moments when kids think no one is looking. Seeing babies and their parents’ blossom over time inspires me. I love getting to play a part in capturing the magic of childhood and preserving it forever.
