After lying helplessly on the ground for days, something remarkable finally happened… 🐘❤️*

This injured wild elephant was found collapsed in a harvested paddy field, with a severe wound on his hind leg, suspected to possibly be from a gnshot injury. He was extremely weak, dehydrated and had apparently gone without food for several days.

In the earlier parts, compassionate villagers stayed beside him, bringing his favorite foods—cucumbers, manioc and tender banana stems—and fresh water. They even built a temporary shelter to protect the exhausted giant from the scorching sun.

When the wildlife veterinary team arrived, they began emergency treatment. Saline was administered to replenish lost fluids and support his weakened condition, followed by antibiotics, painkillers and multivitamins as part of his treatment.

Now, in Part 5, the team continued caring for him and tried to give him much-needed water.

Then came a moment that gave everyone hope…

*The exhausted elephant began trying to get back on his feet.* 🐘

But the veterinary team soon noticed another serious concern. He had apparently not passed stool for several days, and his weakened condition was making it difficult for him to drink properly.

*He had survived the first critical hours… but this injured giant still had a long road ahead. 🐘💔*

In the previous parts, this huge wild elephant was found helplessly collapsed in a harvested paddy field, with a severe wound on his hind leg, believed to possibly be from a gunshot injury.

While waiting for the wildlife veterinary team, compassionate villagers stayed beside him. They brought his favorite foods and water and even built a temporary shelter to protect him from the scorching sun.

When the veterinary team arrived, they found the elephant severely weakened and dehydrated after apparently going without food for several days. The first priority was to stabilize him, so intravenous saline treatment was started to help restore his lost fluids and support his weakened body.

And the emergency treatment continued.

💧 *More saline was administered* as the veterinary team worked to gradually improve his condition.

💉 *Antibiotics were given to help fight or prevent bacterial infection in and around his serious wound.*

The elephant was also given *painkillers* to help relieve his discomfort and *multivitamins* to support his weakened body during recovery.

In Part 1, this huge wild elephant was found collapsed in a harvested paddy field, unable to stand, with a serious bleeding wound on his hind leg. He was also extremely weak and appeared to have gone without food for several days.

In Part 2, compassionate villagers stayed beside him. They brought cucumbers, manioc, tender banana stems and water, and even built a temporary shelter to protect the exhausted elephant from the scorching sun while waiting for help.

Now, the close examination of his wound raised a serious concern.

*Could this have been a gunshot injury?*

Wildlife officers began an investigation to determine how the elephant was injured and what had caused the severe wound.

Then, the wildlife veterinary team finally arrived with emergency medicines and equipment.

The veterinarian carefully examined the giant and immediately recognized how critical his condition had become. He was severely weakened by prolonged starvation and dehydration, and after spending so long lying on the ground, his condition could deteriorate even further.

After finding the injured wild elephant lying helplessly in the paddy field, the villagers stayed by his side while waiting for the wildlife veterinary team to arrive.

They brought him fresh cucumbers, manioc and tender banana stems—food he could eat while lying on the ground. They also brought water to help the exhausted elephant regain some strength.

Then they noticed just how harsh the situation was.

In Part 2, the veterinary team carefully sedated the powerful male, weighing more than *4,000 kg*, so they could safely examine his injured leg.

Part 3 brought the *X-ray examination*, helping the doctors investigate the condition of the injured leg and look for deeper damage or retained bullet fragments.

In Part 4, an *ultrasound examination* provided additional information about the soft tissues, blood flow, possible abscesses, fluid accumulation, and other complications.

Now, the next stage of treatment begins.
