The Fort Railway Station is the main railway junction in the heart of the city center of Colombo, Sri Lanka. Although the number of passengers is in no way comparable to that of other metropolitan hubs such as in India, it does give a sense of hustle and bustle during peak hours; there is always a lot happening at stations that I like to observe and photograph

Schoolboy going home - Jodhpur is called the blue city because many houses in the old quarter of this city are painted blue. This makes a beautiful backdrop for an atmospheric photo, in the style of Steve McCurry. I was hiding, waiting for a woman with a colorful sari, when suddenly this schoolboy with a much too large backpack walked into the alley on his way home; the perfect shot for me

An impression of Taipei; what a great destination!

1. Linjiang Night market; one of the many night markets with fabulous street food, sometimes even with a Michelin recommendation
2. Claw-craze-crane; 24-hours jingle-blaring spaces to gamble for junk, which costs you mostly more than its value
3. Chiang Kai-shek Memorial hall; a monument to the authoritarian leader
4. Students taking dance lessons at the national concert hall
5. schoolchildren crossing
6. Preparing Din Tai Fung’s famous Michelin star dumplings, with of course face masks that are still popular here

Wild horses are an integral part of Patagonia’s beautiful nature. So you can also encounter them in Tierra del Fuego, the most southern part of Argentina. But as they are very fast running in the fields, a tiny moment that they stand still on the perfect spot in the landscape to make a picture of them is considered as pure luck

King penguin chicks have thick brown down, resembling wool. They cannot yet swim and need this coat to stay warm when their parents are out at sea catching food. They stay together in a so called crèche, but because they are very curious, they also investigate the strange human species when you are around
