It is indeed challenging to get focusing on this tiny cutie...but if you know how your cameras AF works, and know when to use what kind of af points, it is indeed easy to get this.

There are opportunities to shoot everywhere....you just need to keep your eyes open.

Sometimes your in the right place at the right time! I was walking around semi following this bruiser of a Buck as he was following a doe. The Rut is a good thing as he is paying much more attention to her at this point than me. She decides she wants no more of his advances and starts to run away through some water... guess who follows? Yep, the bruiser! All I had to do was flip my camera in the same direction and pre-focus fast on the area the doe just ran through assuming he would be in that same focal plain and be ready to fire away... I was ready and not a second too soon as he came flying past splashing and jumping his way back to his gal pal.
