THIS IS ME 🥹📸

(The Polaroid was taken by the bride’s cousin, and it gave me all the feels.)

During the quiet moments of this day, I was chatting with the bride’s family, sharing a little bit about my background.

I often start with:
“I’m Caymanian, a mom of three, a wife, a believer.”

But my favorite thing to say out loud is:
“I recently quit my dream job in wealth management to pursue photography full-time.”

I love seeing the pleasant shock on people’s faces—hehe.

I still remember the day I told my husband, “I’m going to pick up my camera again.”

I didn’t know much outside of finance, but I did know photography. And I decided that was enough.

The very next day, I borrowed the money to purchase the camera I use now—a camera that has officially paid for itself.

Fast forward six months, and here I am—photographing people for a living.

This was once a dream that felt impossible—something I couldn’t imagine actually doing.

And while there’s still so much room to grow, I’m embracing the journey. It’s scary, but I’m willing to see how far I can go.

Your Engagement Session Doesn’t Have to Be Awkward—Here’s Why

Beatrice and Elia were one of the winners of my engagement session contest last year, and wow—what a couple! 🤍

They’re a beautiful, hardworking pair who’ve lived on islands for years. But what stood out to me most is that they’re both from Milan, which Beatrice proudly called “the fashion capital of the world.” 🇮🇹🧥🍝

Like many couples I photograph, one of their biggest concerns was that this might be their first-ever photoshoot.

“How do I pose? How do I act? Where do I look?”

This is where I step in. Creative direction and posing are all part of the experience I provide.

When Elia shared that he didn’t know what to do (a common worry, especially for men), I told him, “Say no more—I’ve got you.”

In 2024 and beyond, two photography styles are taking over: Documentary Style and Editorial Style.

✨ Documentary Style
This isn’t candid—it’s about documenting moments as they naturally unfold. Think: grabbing beers, walking to the beach, and setting up a picnic to watch the sunset.

✨ Editorial Style
This one’s my favorite! It’s more directed and posed but never stiff (no JC Penney vibes). Think: magazine-worthy, elegant, and modern poses.

The best part? Both styles can coexist. I love blending them to create a gallery that feels authentic yet elevated.

When planning your next shoot, ask your photographer: What’s your style?
