What hurts the most?
It’s that only the people I love the most
seem to hold the power to truly break me.
They might not even notice what they’ve done…
but to me, it feels unbearable.
Still, I endure it — not because it doesn’t hurt —
but because I would rather suffer quietly
than ever cause that kind of hurt to someone else.
I think twice, even before speaking.
I ask myself,
“If this were said to me, how would it feel?”
That’s how I live — with empathy before ego.
Because if we truly thought about how our actions feel
when mirrored back to us,
we would be so much softer with one another.
No matter how much I’m hurt,
No matter how many times I’m ignored or left behind,
If I still choose to stay…
Know that it’s not out of weakness.
It’s because my love is real —
and real love doesn’t quit when things get hard.
So yes, I carry wounds.
But I also carry warmth.
And if that makes me too soft in this world,
then I’d rather be soft than become stone.
Because being soft in a world that tried to break you?
That’s not weakness.
That’s rare, quiet strength.🥹

You didn’t just give me life; you showed me how to live it with grace, love, and understanding.
