"행복해 보이세요, 왜 행복해 보이시는지 말해주세요"
"첫번째 이유로는 일단 학교가 방학이라서 행복해요.. 알바도 안하고
집에서 쉬면서 친구들 만나고 가족들이랑 오랫만에 모일 수 있어서 너무 좋아요.. 학기중에는 과제하느라 프로젝트 하느라 정말 바빴거든요.. 이렇게 여유를 느껴본지 정말 오래된거 같아요.. 두번째 이유로는 조만간 누나랑 방콕여행을 가요... 짧은 여행이지만 태국의 문화를 배우고 싶어요 제 전공이 패션 산업과 라서 그 지역 트랜드를 알 수 있는 좋은 기회일 것 같아요 .. 그리고 투어 하면서 태국에 있는 왕궁이랑 사원을 볼 생각이에요.. 많이 기대되네요...."

"Firstly, I'm happy because I'm in the middle of winter vacation.. I wasn't working I just stayed home relaxing, meeting friends, and gathering with my family.. I was busy working on my school works and project during school weeks, it has been forever doing nothing....
Secondly, I'm going to Bangkok with my sister.. .. It's just a
short trip, but I want to feel the culture of Thailand also I'm majoring
in fashion industry so it will be a great chance to
check out Thailand's fashion trend... And I'm planning to look
at palaces and temples... I'm looking forward to my trip.."

"직업이 뭐에요?"
"커뮤니케이션을 전공하고 있는 대학생이에요.."
"한국에서 학교 다니세요?"
"아니요 미국이요.. 가족들, 친구들 보고 싶어서 방학 기간 중에 한국에 왔어요.. 학기중에 한국 너무 오고 싶었어요..."
"한국에서 좋은 시간 보내고 계신가요?"
"네!! 진짜 너무 좋아요!!"
"미래에, 대학 졸업 후 미국에서 살고 싶으세요? 아니면 한국에서 살고 싶으세요?"
"한국에 돌아와 방송국 피디로 일하고 싶어요! 제가 만든 프로그램으로 세상을 변화시키고 싶어요!"

"What do yo do for living?"
"I'm a college student..i major in communication ....."
"nice.. do you go to college in Korea?"
"nope in America...i missed Korea a lot, so I came home during my winter vacation to meet friends and families"
"Did you have a good time so far meeting people?"
"yeaa.. i'm feeling so good right now"
"In the future, after graduation, do you want to live in the States or in Korea?"
"I want to come back to Korea and become a producer in a broadcasting station! i want to change the world in a better way!!"

"요즘 사는게 힘들어요....목표도 없고 남들이 말하는 뚜렷한 꿈도 지금은 없어요.. 꿈을 갖을 수 있는게 꿈이에요...뻔 할 수도 있지만 저는 제가 하고 싶은 일을 찾고 싶어요... 요즘 사람들은 자기가 하고 싶은 일보다는 높은 명예, 연봉 등을 목표로 두고 꿈을 찾잖아요... 저는 그런 뻔한 사람이 되고 싶지 않습니다 ..정말 제가 하고 싶은 일을 하고 싶어요...제 앞에 수 많은 일들이 있습니다..어디서부터 해결해야 되는지는 모르겠지만...하나씩 하나씩 해결해 나가면 그것이 사람 살아 가는 방법 아닐까요?"
"I have a hard life these days...
I don' t have any goals and I don t have a clear view towards my dream...this might sound a little awkward but I want to have a dream, that's my dream....people these days, they don t do what they want to do, all they look for is high payment and honor..I don' t want to be a person who is obvious...in the future I really want to follow my dream...I have lot of stuff to do right now...and seriously I don't know where to start...but by solving things one at a time I'm pretty sure I'll solve these things someday...isn't this how people survive in this harsh world?"

"가장 좋은 하는 색은 뭐에요?"
"빨간색이요"
"왜 빨간색을 좋아하시나요?"
"음...빨간색은 다양한 의미를 갖고 있어요 예를 들어 젊음, 행복, 에너지 그리고 열정 이런 것들이 좋아서 빨간색도 좋아졌어요..."
"제가 듣기로는 빨간색을 좋아하는 사람들은 열정적이라고 들었는데, 본인은 열정적이신가요?"
"당연하죠...미래에 저의 열정적인 마인드를 자동차 엔지니어링에 쏟고 싶습니다!"
"그럼 본인의 꿈은 자동차 엔지니어가 되는 것 인가요?"
"네 훗날 BMW, 벤츠, 그리고 음....페라리 같은 자동차 회사의 일원이 되고 싶습니다"

"I heard that people who likes red are very passionate, so are you passionate?"
"of course...in the future.. i want to put all my passionate mind to be a car engineer!"

"yea i want to be part of BMW,Mercedez, and maybe Ferrari...hahaha"

"기분이 좋아 보이시네요"
"네 요즘 기분 좋아요.. 해군사관학교에 합격해서 마음편하게 지내고 있어요"
"해군사관학교면 곧 훈련소 들어 가시겠어요"
"네 1월 9일에 훈련소 들어 가서 7월정도 까지 못나와요"
"훈련소 들어가면 보고싶은 사람들 누가 있어요?"
"음... 가족, 친구, 그리고 레옹이요!"
"레옹이가.....누구에요?"
"레옹이는 저희 집 반려견이에요 제가 8살때 공원 갔을 때 누가 버린다고 해서 지금
까지 12년동안 저희집에서 같이 생활하고 있어요"
"아..네 그럼 훈련소 몸조심히 갔다 오세요 꼭 멋진 장교가 되시길 바랄게요 :)"
"You look very happy"
"Yes I'm really happy these days.. I got accepted to Naval Academy, thats why I feel so good"
"Nice.....then are you going to training session soon?"
"Yes January 9th I'm going to training seesion and I can't come out untill July"
"Who are you going to miss the most when you go into traing session for 6 months?"
"Umm...... family, friends, and Leon"
"Who's Leon?"
"Leon is our dog, we got him when I was 8 years old.. someone threw away Leon in a park so we decided to take care of him"
"That's so nice :) I hope you stay strong, and become a great officer"

"가장 행복했단 순간은 언제인가요?"
"아마 최근이었던 것 같아요.
얼마전 제가 원하던 대학에서 합격장이 왓을때 정말 기뻣어요. 합격을 한 것에 대해 기쁨도 느꼈지만 부모님의 미소 때문에 더 행복 하였던거 같아요... 중학교 고등학교 시절 말썽피운 적도 있어서 부모님께 죄송한 마음이 많았는데... 앞으로 인생을 살아가면서 부모님께 진 빛을 이렇게 하나씩 갚아나가고 싶습니다.. 합격장을 부모님이 보셧을때 감격하시는 모습이 아직도 생생하게 기억에 남아있네요... :)
가족이 기쁘면 저도 기쁘고 제가 기쁘면 가족이 기뻐요
그래서 가족이라는 단어에 많은 의미가 담겨있는 것 아닐까요?"

"When was your happiest moment in life?"
"umm....I think it was few weeks ago .
I got accepted to my dream college. And i was extremely happy, but what made me happier is when I saw a smile on my parents face.
During my middle school and high school years i was a major trouble maker, and I made my parents depressed... seriously.....
And from now on I want to make my parents happy ... step by step...
I still remember their smile when they saw my college acceptance letter....probably i will never forget that moment......
When I am happy my family members are happy, and when my family members are happy then I am happy too...
I think that explains the word 'family'......"

"가장 힘들었던 순간은 언제였나요?"
"음... 아마 지금인 거 같아요... 지금 대학 준비를 하고있어요... 맨날 에쎄이를 쓰면서...."
"저는 과거를 기억하지 않아요, 후회도 없고요.... 저는 미래만 보고 달려요..제 미래는 밝을 거에요... 그랬으면 좋겠어요.."

"When was the most difficult moment in your life?"
"I guess right now.. i'm getting ready for college.....writing essay all day..."
"I don't remember past events, no regret...I only look towards the future....I guess my future is bright... I hope so.."

"가장 기억에 남는 장소는 어딘가요?"

"제가 샌디에고에서 고등학교 생활 할 때 자주 가던 맥도날드가 가장 추억에 남는 장소에요. 이 맥도날드는 굉장히 다기능적인 장소였어요. 친구들과 같이 시간을 보낼수 있었고, 새로운 사람들과도 만나고 교류 할 수 있었죠. 맥도날드가 기억에 남는 두가지 이유가 있는데 첫번째 이유는 가격이 매우 저렴했어요. 제가 친구들과 갈 때마다 맥치킨 아니면 맥더블을 시키고 라지사이즈 티를 주문했는데 4달러 밖에 안했어요. 두번째 이유는 저희 동네 맥도날드 내부 디자인이 매우 좋았어요. 갈색 소파에 딱 앉으면 엄청 편하고 안락했어요. 나이가 들면서 예전만큼 자주 가지는 않았지만 맥도날드는 저와 친구들에게 정말 최고의 장소 였고 앞으로도 계속 최고의 장소일 것이에요."

"Most memorable place?"

"It would be McDonald's near my high school in San Diego. It was a very multi-functional spot. The homies could just gather to chill, meet new people and create bonds. There are mainly two reasons why McDonald's became the spot. First, the food was cheap. Every time we went there, we ordered McChicken or McDouble. In addition to that we'd order the large sweet tea and they were all for less than 4 dollars. Secondly, the interior design of the McDonald's was nice. It had brown leather couches and they were hella comfortable. As we got older, we went to the place less frequently, but it was and still is the prime spot."

"I was with my family before, but they went back to the States"

"I try to be sincere most of the time......"

"미국 버지니아 주에서 왔습니다"
"혼자 한국에 오신 건 가요?"
"원래 가족들과 같이 한국에 왔었는데, 저를 제외한 다른 가족들은 다시 미국으로 돌아갔습니다"
"가장 좋아하는 단어는 무엇인가요?"
"진실되다 입니다"
"그러면 본인은 진실된 사람인가요?"
"매번 진실되게 행동하도록 노력하고 있습니다....."

“이 여자 손이 너무 이뻐서 집안일 같은건 내가 다 하지.”
“에휴 맨날 저소리. 거짓말이에요, 거짓말.”
“대학 생활할때, 앞이 안 보일 정도로 짐이 많았어요. 앞에 그 누구도 있는 지도 몰랐는데 마침 이 마누라랑 부딪혔죠. 얼굴을 보기전에 이 아름다운 손을 먼저 봐서 사랑에 빠졌어요.”
“또 거짓말.”
“Her hands are so beautiful, I never let her do all the chores.”
“That’s a lie.”
“One day I was in college, I was carrying a lot of stuff and I couldn’t see her walking in front of me, so I accidentally (on purpose) bumped into her. I saw her hands first reaching for my stuff. That’s when I fell in love.”
“Another lie.”

“When was your most frightened moment?”
“If I have to think about it, I’m probably going to choose the time when I was a senior in high school. I wanted to go in as Department of Physical Education, and I had tryouts and whatnot. And it was the day when the results were out. It was when I was in class too. My hearts were beating to the max because that college was my dream college. I couldn’t wait until I got out of school so I checked it with my phone and was disappointed by the result. I was on the waiting list. I was depressed for days, waiting for the call. But they didn’t call me back. I was disqualified.”

“제가 제일 두려웠던 것은 제가 체대입시생 이였을 때입니다. 제가 원하는 대학에 실기를 보고 이제 대학 합격 여부를 확인하려는 순간, 아 그 순간이 제일 두려웠던 거 같아요. 수시라서 학교자습시간에 확인을 했는데 보고 나서 예비3번 인걸보고 너무나도 실망했습니다 며칠 동안 꽁해있었고 추가합격 여부전화를 기다리면서 스트레스를 너무나도 받고 두려웠습니다. 결국 에는 안됐지만요…… 제가 지금까지 살면서 대학입시가 제일 두려웠던 것 같습니다”
