““Death, where is your sting? Hades, where is your victory?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Have you guys seen the show "Making Fun" on Netflix? Seriously...great show! Daniel LOVES it...AND I enjoy watching it with him (the second part is the very special quality of the show). Sadly, they only have one season, so I am doing my "fatherly duty" and requesting that they make more shows. Here is where you can "suggest" that show.

Jimmy is Daniel's favorite person on the show (see picture below) because he has a "magic" finger (in one episode, he used his finger to draw imaginary lines). The show is great because it shows kids how to have fun making things. :)

GONE MILESTONE:

I haven’t kept up with writing weekly milestones like I did before. I think because I am editing and not “creating” these days.

BUT I reached a MAJOR milestone today at 3:13 (ish) pm. I messaged Grace Eunhye Han because I was super excited. I had finished the final edit of “They Were Gone”. FINALLY!

AND without giving away anything, I think I ended it in an AWESOME way that ties things up but also leave a thread to continue the story of Chuan’s life in Book 2. My friend, Ewan (who is not on FaceBook), helped me greatly with spinning the ending in a better way.

The ironic thing is that “They Were Gone” is almost a romance novel. Deep threads of love and questioning what love is runs deeply throughout the novel. It’s a tragically “sweet” romance story.

If that got your interest, DM to become a review reader! ;)

This afternoon, I almost screamed loud enough for the whole school to hear. I was grading my students’ rough drafts, and to take “breaks”, I edited my novel “Just Like That, They Were Gone”. I know, I know. That doesn’t sound like a break, but fiction is a break when you are editing students’ garbled “masterpieces”. 😉 I also watched Cold Case…so there!

And I was proud of myself! In snatches here and there over three hours, I edited over 2,000 words. Not too shabby! AND I had added some descriptions and dialogue that I thought made that chapter sparkle even more (with some forecasting and other nuggets). I was happy as I hadn’t had a chance to do ANY editing the whole week, and I had to get the latest work to my editor on Monday.

But before I knew it, it was 3:50. I needed to close everything and pick up Daniel. I closed out my students’ work without saving them, and *click*…I accidentally closed out my novel without saving it!

NOOOOOO!!!!!

My heart raced, and my face turned bright red (that’s not surprising).

What was I gonna do?

I was dying inside trying to figure out what to do. Would I have to rewrite it all? Could I? NOOOOOO!!!!

I calmed myself down and Googled it.

Thankfully, I found the answer quickly and was able to save the work. BUT those were anxiety-filled minutes!

I am completely humbled by this post. Is humbled the right word? Shocked! How can my writing be mentioned along with Dracula and Harry Potter?! But grateful for this!

All to Yeshua! All in prayer!
