Jeonnam-Gwangju Special Metropolitan USA Office (formerly known as Jeollanamdo USA Office) has been in charge of promoting the region's exports and international exchange with its counterparts, such as sisterhood states, as well as investment attraction and tourism promotion in the Americas. For the past 3 years I have been a very vocal advocate.

'Connecting Islands, Oceans, and the Future' πŸ—ΊοΈπŸοΈ

The 2026 World Island Exhibition Yeosu Korea will be held in Yeosu, South Korea, from September 5 to November 4, 2026. The two-month event will highlight the theme Connecting Islands, Oceans, and the Future.

This event will take place in Yeosu, one of South Korea’s most renowned tourist destinations and a city famous for its culinary excellence.

The Expo 2026 World Island Exhibition Yeosu Korea will not only showcase the unique beauty of islands but will also feature advanced technologies suited for the age of artificial intelligence (AI).

State-of-the-art features such as immersive media tunnels, LED graphic displays, and augmented reality (AR) experiences will be fully integrated into the Expo. Visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy a unique experience through Urban Air Mobility (UAM), offering aerial views of the islands from above.

Since 2023 I’ve been blessed to be a Jeollanamdo-Do Tourism

This journey has been transformative! I’ve meet some amazing people from across the world and have learned so much.

When I began my language learning journey in 2022, TikTok brought Korean Cultural Center LA to the top of my resource list. I discovered they offered free language learning classes and signed up. No soon after JeollaNamdo USA reached out for language learners to support their tourism initiative.

It’s been an amazing experience ever since and has only inspired my desires to learn and appreciate more

Had an enlightening experience actually learning how to make incense. I’ve experimented before but was just moved by curiosity with no true knowledge or technique which left me with cones that didn’t burn.

HYUNGI brought deep knowledge and hospitality to the experience.

Goyo is located in both coasts (LA & NY) offering workshops like traditional bookbinding, candle and incense making. You can also purchase the materials to prepare your own.
